Still very unhappy with him. Our great run was good but still it didn't feel right. I do not enjoy his football. Cisse out of form is 100 times better than shola. Still playing shola is such a joke! It will probably never feel right under pardew. Sadly as we have exciting players who could work in exciting systems and styles. The squad is really good ( always room for improvement) but it wont happen under pardew ( top 4). If it did it would probably still be boring and short sited. He is good at keeping the players happy, mind. Sorry for repeating myself.

Merry xmas to all loony toons

well he get the chance to deliver. Obviously they wait for the right man this summer imo. They write of this season /hope for the best and come back strong next season I'm afraid
-
Cabaye focus is on the WC. He will stay here. He will leave this summer. Maybe he will stay if we end top 4

Have to agree, we should be striving to find a way to accommodate him. IMO it's simple, just drop Shola in the vast majority of games and give HBA a free role behind Remy. This. Shola ahead of arfa, says it all. Like we are doing well, but it somehow does not feel right. Can't really be 100% excited even though i feel much better than last year/summer.

its either hell or heaven on this board. National team material FFS.

well krul, debuchy, remy, gouffran have also done pretty well. I would probably say Remy

beautiful. awesome performance....but have to say i can´t remember man u being this low on confidence. Only feel a bit sorry for moyes...not today though! congrats to the lads!
-
good attributes - but i think he was poor last night! Him or Dummett must leave on loan
-
no rumours except Berbatov wants to leave Fulham....i would like him here. Still got it imo.

This season could end really good if we can keep our momentum and spirit high. Some of the favourites/better teams like Man U, Tottenham and Liverpool seems to struggle a bit. City, Arsenal and Chelsea will probably end in top 3. 4th place is there for the taking If we are to finish 4-5th keywords will be organisation and team spirit like when we finished 5th.

Would you sell if we were offered 10 mill. + in january? (Arry says cesar can leave on a free)
-
don´t mind Tiote starting against Norwich...he is our captain atm and he is playing well. Its not like we are that great, still need someone to boss the midfield. Should have enough attacking quality to score against them. Great with competition in the midfield. Anita, arfa etc. on the bench. Bring in a good CB and good striker - and we could have a very good season. We still could without injuries to key players...can´t remember last time i was this positive...

V. Fischer from Ajax, hopefully

Gouffran? Actually I forgot him, realized it and decided not to change it - even though I come to like him and rate him for what he offers both ways. His workrate and his ability to score goals. If he had to play I would prefer him on LW. Ideally I would keep my formation and have gouffran on the bench - even though he deserves to start atm.

Couldn't agree more. Cisse is a shadow of the player he was when he arrived, but you can still see he has the same instincts which saw him banging them in back then. No point in arguing about it when he's not delivering, but I still expect him to score goals regularly again at some point, whether it's here or somewhere else. agree

Shola should only be used as sub - come in an create chaos in the box when chasing a result. Arfa needs to play on the left and remy right. Cisse Remy Arfa That should be our starting line up until january = if cisse cant perform/score goals in that set up then look for a new striker and sell cisse if the right offer is there and a quality replacement is available!

i still believe in him - if his only problem is related to lack of confidence by not scoring

Not a big fan of Norwegian players....show me a good Norwegian player - except from BabyFace the Assassin I'm gonna swallow this bait hook, line and sinker tbh. There haven't been many. Active today there's probably only Brede Hangeland that has made a name for himself outside Scandinavia. Although in the Bundesliga we have Mohammed Abdellaoue, Omar Elabdellaoui, Håvard Nordtveit and even Per Ciljan Skjelbred doing quite well today. Markus Henriksen at AZ and Magnus Wolff Eikrem at Heerenveen are good prospects as well though. A lot of interesting youngsters coming through, which could be seen as they placed 3rd in the under 21 EC in Israel this summer. Ibrahim is definiately one of those talents. Not sure he has what it takes to make it in the PL though. Should probably go through Holland before trying one of the better leagues. Knowing Norway the talents that haven't left the Norwegian league will be absolutely ruined by our idiotic sporting policies by the time they should be ready for the national team though, as Mix Diskerud said when he defected to the US. Also, going back in time you could argue Claus Lundekvam, Henning Berg, Ronny Johnsen, Brede Hangeland, Stig Inge Bjørnebye, Jan Åge Fjørtoft, Andre Bergdølmo, Erik Thorstvedt and even the likes of John Arne Riise, John Carew, Steffen Iversen, Vegard Heggem and Tore Andre Flo were decent in their prime. Given the standard of our football league/recruitment system/idiotic sporting polices/total number of inhabitants I find it quite decent to have made as many ok/good players as we have, tbh. Well, being a Dane I was just teasing a bit. But your answer did show I was almost right. Hangeland, riise & flo are probably the best in recent time and the ones before them are mainly "primitive" defenders or strong forwards. The active ones you mention I only know by name and tbf they would probably not be profiles in the PL. Norway have struggled for many years. Have drillo been good for Norway? He used to get ok results but his philosophy is outdated imo. Well, the pendulum swings both ways. Denmark hasn't done so well either (bar winning an EC, obviously). Schmeicel and Laudrup being the big ones, and Agger being a sorta better defender than Hangeland. Well - Denmark have not done well either tbf. But i think we have produced better players in recent years and i also think we are playing more attractive football, which hasn´t been that great tbh. Think the Drillo years have not done much good for Norway in the long run... I also think we have produced better players over the last 10 years or so. To mention a few: Okore, Agger, Bendtner , Eriksen, Boilesen, Poulsen (not for Liverpool), Bjelland, Fischer, Gravesen, Tomasson. Going further back: Allan Simonsen (European player of the year), Elkjaer, Flemming Povlsen, 2xLaudrup, Lerby, arnesen and Mølby. It was not supposed to be a battle of who have the best players...i just think Norway mainly have produced strong and a little primitive players - when you look at the ones who have had the best careers. Think Norway have to start a process like for example Germany did (and DK) which takes time. Maybe they have already as you mentioned your U21s doing well.

i would still start cisse over Ameobi against Spurs. Getting cisses confidence back will be a huge factor for our success this season imo. Can´t happen soon enough - sitting on the bench ain´t gonna change things.
