Well yanga should have been first choice at cb from the beginnig of the season. Still keeping him out is the same as still starting shola imo. Never i have witnessed such a shortsighted manager - and he has a 8year contract. FFS !!! Longterm thinkers would have yanga as first choice, still learning, adapting, but has a huge potential. Basically i do not care if we loose, which i think we do

Alan is a coward and a yes man....afraid to loose his job or whatever... Starting Shola on top is SO FUKING DISGUSTING. He have had more chances the anybody else in the squad and he have not played a good full game for years...still we have to watch this donkey as our only/lone striker, jesus how fuking stupid can you be. He can't run or control the ball....he is pathetic, i almost feels sorry for him. Probably, but we all know it should be Hatem - De Jong - Remy. Shame Hatem never could grow into that ACM role for us. Him in front of Tiote and Sissoko would be class (on paper) I don't think he has it in him in the PL, myself. He needs space to run in to, he'll end up just running in to trouble more central imo. He'd be hounded out from minute 1. Right hand side, cutting in. That's where he needs to play for us every game. This is exactly it. i agree.

also as others have mentioned - he will probably never score the amount of goals Kebabs did.

tbf - i noticed him 1-2 times in each of the last 2 matches where he took the late run into the box and had a free position - but the pass from either remy and sammy didn´t come.

Also think we could use extra quality in DCM/CM - do not know much about Bigi anymore. Sell: Jonas, Obertan, Marveaux, Shola (no new contract) Maybe keep as squad players: Gosling and R. cabaye is probably our most important player. Sadly he wants to leave...can´t really blame him. He wants CL football and trophies...he is 28 and he needs to move on in order to achieve his goals. Can´t blame ashley. We can blame ashley for not spending more...but he has done everything to keep key players. Ba wanted to leave as well. Hopefully we will reinvest the money cabaye will bring in if he leaves this window. i would like a cam, a winger and a striker. Hopefully in de jong brothers and cabella. Siem de jong as cabaye replacement?

sadly we can´t do anything except getting as much as possible. He wants to leave - if the price is right we should leave now. No point in waiting...or season is decided....maybe better to get new quality in so we can start preparing for next season. sad to see him leave...but fact is - if not now then in summer. Might as well accept and move on! gutted

Agreed. He has no technique, no vision, no skills. He is just a big lump who is strong and a bit physical. Its only throw-backs like Dalglish and Allardyce that have kept someone like Carroll a PL player. He had a purple patch for us for a brief spell but he still looked a bang average footballer and in time I reckon he'd have become just another Shola type for us, but without the professionalism and right attitude. well - you basically just described Mike W there (except the part about being professional) Well i think people are way to harsh on Carroll. He was a local lad living his boyhood dream - only for a short time before he was being asked to leave. Going to liverpool on those wages isn´t the worst - but then being dropped and then forced to WH. Well he probably never asked for any of this. I hope he will recover some form. He isn´t really my kind of player but if he could return to former strength then i would be happy to have here as a option (1 out of 4 hopefully) Carroll on form is 1000% better than that lazy donkey - shola!

don't think you can judge him on that tbf. Give him 1, 2 or 3 starts in a row! Cisse is not the type of player who makes a great sub, i think. He needs confident (like many other strikers) obviously - he will only gain that by being trusted. He started the first 5 games of the season like. anita being better than cisse yesterday is silly arguing. I know cisse played badly beginning of the season. So five games and its over? You can´t come back into the team? Im not defending his performances I'm just saying i do believe he can be really good and it might be to early to write him off. Replacing him only means we might have to sign 3 quality strikers the next 2 windows....
