He doesn’t get in over Willock, Bruno, or Joelinton. I guess he’ll be competing with Longstaff? But Sean’s a lot more involved in our build up play and is great at sweeping up in midfield. I’ve never seen McTomminay do any of these things. If he isn’t scoring goals, I don’t know what he does. I genuinely believe he’s used as a body to make headed clearances for opposition corners. I really don’t like or want him.

This is more of an annoyance but on wikipedia, which is pretty much the go to for stats these days, managers are based on ‘win percentage’. I think they should be judged on ‘average points picked up per game’. Trivial yes, but I think the consensus is you want to win your home games and a draw would be fine away. Wor Eddie has a 50% win percentage but that doesn’t tell the full story.

You guys are lucky in the UK. We got Robbie Mustoe, Robbie Earle and Tim Howard(who you’d think youd be alright but he plays it safe most of the time. Earle is an absolutely atrocious pundit but was an excellent co commentator. Bastard ruined all that selling his World Cup tickets or something and I have to watch him stumble over his words every week becase he’s clearly uncomfortable on TV. Face for radio and he’s good on it.
