  1. For real. After everything that's happened, and all the lies we've been told, I've given up on us winning a trophy. I'm just going to watch the games and try to enjoy it for what it is. As for a team that I want to win in this disgusting football world, I'm rooting for Spurs. They're kinda like the "good guys". They have an English spine and the progression they've made in the last ten years has been admirable. Weird feelings.
  2. Was he overrated before? I feel like he's been held in the same regard throughout his entire career. On this forum anyway. I feel like foreign players are preferred to British players on this forum. I can see why, though. They're probably lauded by the English media. They also don't perform well in the international tournaments.
  3. That guy should never EVER take a penalty.
  4. Stones is not a very good player I think he is. he's a good footballer while not being a very good defender. He was very poor last season. If he doesn't improve next season, I think he'll be sold or loaned out. I personally don't have much hope for him. His positioning was awful last season. dunno why he's just not tried in midfield, it seems fairly obvious he just doesn't have a defenders mindset There are probably better players in that position available or on the books for Man City. Pep and Man City will discard a player if they're not performing regardless of the price tag.

  6. The fact that Spurs arguably already have a better RB is mental. Did Walker get dropped or was he injured? I like Trippier and he is good, but he didn't play that many games last season. He was performing well in a good team, but how he'll do over the course of a whole season is the real question. He does create a whole lot of chances and the amount of assists he has in the low amount of games he played in is very impressive. I think against Watford last season, he created about six clear opportunities that could have been goals. 50 Mil is good business for them. Spurs are smart with their money, they'll stretch that out.
  7. I also remember that. It was something like hoof, header, header, hoof, header, header, header, hoof out of play.
  8. The games are always entertaining. The last one had it all. Think they'll be more appreciated in 10 years.
  9. Dunno if these fit your criteria Viduka and Hasselbaink Keane and Berbatov Donavan and Dempsey Vardy and Mahrez - know he's not a striker but there was a lot of chemistry. Sturridge and Suarez
  10. Always felt that Lukaku could do more in the air. For such a big guy, he doesn't score enough headers. He's best with the ball at his feet toward goal. He'll need to improve that hold up to further himself as a striker. He's not someone I would class as dangerous. When he's on the ball, I honestly expect him to make a mistake, so I'm suprised when he does score.
  11. I don't class him as a technical player. Think he was more of the run around and tackle type. Cabaye was technical, Shelvey is technical. Colback is meant to be the technical type.
  12. Well that's just weird, to be fair. I'll remember his hilarious performances on the right wing against Fulham last August. It was huge! I don't know how you could not notice tbh.
  13. Glad someone said it. Agree with everything there. Played well in a few games, but not enough. The two things I'll remember about him - His goal in the Europa League and his big fat ass.
  14. It'd be really strange if Kane went to another league. I think he'd struggle in Spain tbh.
  15. Giroud has really good stats for France, though. He performs quite well for them.
  16. I think that's fair in this market. But they don't need him as they have Slimani. Similar type of player who could be a real threat in this league.
  17. Always liked Jon Walters. Classic old school battering ram type striker. With all the technical type players nowadays, I find myself rooting for the cloggers. He also takes the same penalty most of the time. Smashes in dead center in the roof of the net.
  18. 2015-2016 - Fourth place for Girona in the Segunda Division. In a defense that conceded 28 in 42. 2016-2017 - 10th place in La Liga for Eibar. They had a +5 goal difference. Good stats.
  19. Fourth place when he was in La Liga 2 and 10th in the first division. Sounds promising.
  20. Liverpool were constructed for Torres to score. Benitez could build our team around him.
  21. Werner is so dynamic. Germany are stacked for talent.
