Probably, also seems no fker wants to sign for them too. You calling Aliadiere a nobody like?
-
Is it true no one wants to sponsor them this season?
-
If that gadgie goes to Liverpool I wouldn't mind Riise here...
-
eh? 1927 mate.

Only if it's true. Which given the usual reliability of the Express, it's probably not. New to posting on here (though been lurking) so go easy on me at first lads yeah? Also in the Mail but then again that's just as unreliable if not more so. If this is true then I would think Owens decision to stay (for whatever reason) may well have swung Oba's own decision. That our two main strikers (arguably) have made a loyalty pledge to the club may have a good effect on any prospective signings, sending out a signal that it is a good place to be. Could benefit us in the next few weeks till deadline day. Welcome to the forum fella.

Apparently about to be taken over by this fella: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sean_Quinn Would be good to see them back up. Rather them than shite like Wigan.

Well, "he is (a) very, very big" man, and all heart too it seems. Is he now!! Actually, a female friend of mine, who always notices that sort of thing (!) no matter what us lads are wearing . . . (she is 'delightfully' pervy to be around!) was in a minor road accident a couple of years ago, with a bloke who turned out to be the mentioned Mr Ameobi. Apparantly, he isn't all that big! His NY Yankees Baseball Cap is.... did you see the size of it.... its way too big for him ... or has he just got a little head ? Yup!! He also left the sticker on and is a proper "gangster" that doesn't bend the peak. Not a patch on my £10 Durham Dynamo's cap tbf! I love my Dynamo's cap

New discussable development, nothing wrong here. If you don't like it, go somewhere else. Tbh, it could be merged with the 7 page "Club Captian" thread. Happy days

Things can change overnight tbh. Parker was made skipper this time last year and look where he is now.

It could also go in the Owen commits long term future thread. No point merging every single thread for having a minor relation to something else. Subject to the contents of the article, this thread has a much different slant to the two aforementioned threads. Threads: "Club Captian" and "Owen: I want to be Captain" are only slightly related?

BBC Newcastle United has withdrawn from the London Stock Exchange after being taken over by billionaire Mike Ashley. The Lillywhite's and Sports World owner took over the Premiership club in June after chairman Freddy Shepherd agreed to sell his 28% stake for £37.6m. Subsequent share purchases took Mr Ashley's holding over the 75% mark, which triggered a full takeover. Mr Ashley's 101p a share takeover offer, made by his company St James' Holdings, valued the club at £131m. "The directors of Newcastle United wish to announce that, following an application to the UK Listing Authority, the listing of the company's ordinary shares of 5p each on the Official List has been cancelled," the firm said. "The shares have ceased trading on the London Stock Exchange, in each case with effect from 8am this morning," it added in a statement. News of the delisting was a formality after Mr Ashley's stake in the club passed the 90% level. Last week, Mr Ashley announced that he had amassed a 94.5% stake in the club, but he also said he would extend his share purchase offer to remaining shareholders until August.

Had a scorching shot from 25 yards that was superbly saved. Won nearly every header and was decent on the ground. Hard to judge from the first pre season game.
