If you told me we might get a manager that had kept a club from being relegated out of the football league after taking over at a 17 point defecit, got that team promoted the next season, and got them up to the PL in the course of seven seasons, taking time off to manage another club for a season, and kept them up for several seasons, I'd probably snap your hand off.

That's got to be an overstatement--I hope. They'd have to know nothing is ever done until it's done and would be similarly far down the road on a deal with Howe or whomever else--I hope.

Dude's just shy of 44 and got Bournemouth up from League 2 in the course of, what, six or seven seasons? So, yeah, maybe not a world beater and not of the ilk we'd all really love. But I'd have time for him.
