Is his ability to draw players (or, I guess, supposed inability) really that big of a deal? I don't think we're really going to be a legit destination for galactico types at the outset anyway. And I've got to think there are a shit load of players better than most we've got now who would be happy to be a part of what would seem to be, on the whole (despite where we are in the league), an upward looking outfit.

If this takeover saga has taught me anything, and I believe it has, it's that being positively optimistic always works, all the time, no matter what. So join me as we W A I T for the PL survival that has in fact already occurred!

The thing that stings about Rafa is that where we are right now (not league position, but the people in control now and project opportunity) is totally the event he was looking for.

The way the takeover finally went down kind of fucked us. I mean I'm 1000% happy it happened. I think it just fucked having any kind of rhythm in terms of getting stuff lined up on the front end and implementing it smoothly. Not going to look a gift horse in the mouth, though.

True. But we're also just not in a situation that's ever going to be risk free. Maybe it feels slightly less risky with Emery or that ilk, but, given where we are, it's just an inherently risky situation pretty much whomever gets appointed. That not to say "fuck it then, just appoint trash" either, but I don't think that's what we'd be doing here.

Definitely warming up to him as an underdog type. I think he'd exceed a lot of people's expectations.
