I was sat in the South West corner on Tuesday, watched Aguero the whole time he was stood offside to see if he got back onside at any point, right up to the point at which Kolarov struck the ball (which you could actually hear as well as see out of the corner of your eye) and even without being bang in line with the play I could see immediately that he was about 2 yards offside. Absolutely staggering that the linesman didn't raise his flag for it, just complete and utter incompetence to get something like that so clearly wrong from a set piece.
  2. Oh dear, he doesn't have anyone directing him,no rehearsal. It's just him. I would love to see him on politics/religion/ even abortion. Would be a burial. I couldn't resist watching that again. The bit about girls. I like the Partridge-esque 'yeah' after that bloke revs the engine for him.
  3. Good to have him back, makes such a difference having a full back who can actually defend. Like others have said, he's not going to beat a man and whip in a brilliant cross, but he's exactly what we need at full back at the minute - solid and going to give his all.
  4. I think it's because the fans know more about 'legacy' players than the new managers do. Rafa Benitez won't have a clue where he played for Toulouse before he came here to be a winger (great job Pardew). Don't have many/any coaches in place from when he arrived to pass the information on, only Darth Vader and he's probably in Holland again right now. I'm pretty certain he will like
  5. Love how they've managed to sum up the characters of the people involved perfectly in just a few words each: Jonas - 'credible and convincing witness.' All round great guy. Pardew - on the face of things he's 'confident, convincing' but in reality 'the detail was not necessarily as credible as the manner in which it was delivered.' A fucking liar and a fraud. Charnley - 'evasive and lacking in credibility.' Says it all really. Carver - 'vague' and 'rejected.' Thick as pig shit. They've got them all completely sussed after just a couple of days in court
  6. Ray Wilkins on TalkSport, regarding whether Newcastle should've given Benitez the job - 'There are lots of young British coaches who would give their right arm for that job... well, not literally... apologies if I've offended anyone with that comment.' The man is mentally ill.
  7. He was probably aiming for a throw in tbf. Yeah it was Colback from the kick off and Sammy who scored in 7 seconds, 2014 vs Spuds. I remember thinking at the time that it was by no means a well directed pass. If I remember rightly he seemed to 'hook' it and it just happened to land in the path of Sammy.
  8. Glad he finds it so fucking funny. Useless prick.
  9. The fact that the only person willing to stand up and say something to try and provoke a reaction in this side is a 22 year old who has been at the club less than a year says it all about the rest of the heartless cowards we have in the team. They should be fucking ashamed of themselves, but I don't think any of them even give it a second thought, they'll just be on the lookout for a new club in the summer.

Yep, we look like we're going to be very good going forward but, against the better teams, our dodgy defence is going to be torn to shreds. I don't trust any combination of Smalling / Cahill / Jagielka / Stones and whichever full backs we go with are also pretty poor defensively.
  11. Supposedly been a key player for Spurs this season, but I agree, I don't get it either. Probably be the usual overhyping and then he turns out to be bang average.
  12. People are forgetting that Ray Wilkins is batshit mental.
  13. Has anyone actually checked if our medical team have the relevant qualifications?
  14. Let's face it, he's nowhere near as bad as Iron Mike was on the ball. He seems fine to me, can't say I've noticed him do anything particularly badly with the ball at his feet.
  15. Where's Tiote these days? Seems to have disappeared without mention again.
  16. Take them to the fucking cleaners Jonas.
  17. No, his whole 'philosophy' is entirely dependent on individuals creating something from nothing. He had it here with Ben Arfa, Cisse in his first season who would score outrageous goals from barely half chances, then Ba and Remy who would score goals with practically no service at all. As soon as he lost that there was no structure or gameplan whereby the team could be better than the sum of its parts. Essentially, he's a shit manager with zero tactical nous. But then we all know that anyway, so not sure why I've just spent a few minutes repeating it for myself
  18. Admittedly I haven't seen very much of them at all this season, but when I have this seems to be their entire approach. Give it wide and hope they go on a mazy run and create something out of nothing, failing that lob it into the box.
  19. Some fans complaining that his 'cavalier football' is the problem. Too much fret.
  20. Clattermole applauding the decision as well, the odious cretin.
  21. The change from 'I'm going to fucking kill you' to just walking as if nothing has happened is brilliant.
  22. This was how I felt about him on Saturday, I'd only just calmed down before my post earlier. He is a cunt though.
  23. The one where he missed by miles? He generally doesn't pull on to the FB like he did fro the goal. I think Ian probably means the one in the second half when he had a near post header from a Sissoko cross that Mannone saved.

I posted something along these lines in the football pet hates thread. It's like this most weeks. Sometimes, a ref takes about 2 minutes to lecture a player and card them. Plus subs, goals, injuries, time wasting. Added time. 3 minutes. I've noticed in a few of our games that if we're chasing a goal it's 3-4 minutes max. If we're a goal ahead, look forward to a nice juicy 7 minutes of added time.
  25. Bellerin on the bench Last time I left him out he got two assists and bonus points as well, the cheeky scamp.
