  1. Been on holiday for a week and was hoping to come back to news of Debuchy signing. One look in here and I guess nothing has happened and people are going crazy and wanting to kill themselves?

  3. There was an article about him a while ago on the BBC website: http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/paulfletcher/2012/03/coventrys_boy_from_burundi.html

Deserves massive credit for getting our mentality and shape right last night after the Wigan game. Would have been easy for him to revert to a 4-5-1 but he made the bold move of going 4-4-2 and trusting Tiote and Cabaye to deal with their midfield trio. You could tell from how he was acting on the touchline throughout the game (his reaction to Demba hitting the bar and reaction to the goals) that he was really up for it, and this was mirrored by the players on the pitch. Big thumbs up, now let's do the same to Man City and round off a great season.
  5. I can't believe that, especially considering how he was moaning and abusing the ref at St James' this season. And also how you could clearly see him call the ref a 'fucking twat' tonight.

I'm backing a late surge from Chris Hutchings. They wrote his name in invisible ink just to give the others a chance. Les Reed would get my vote
  7. Playing the bibs game from the earlier training pics - Colo, Santon, Tiote, Jonas, Cabaye, Ba, Ben Arfa and Cisse all with bibs on. Fingers crossed for a 4-3-3 and also that Santon plays, which I think he will after drawing praise from Pardew last week. We've got nothing to lose now, let's give 4th spot a really good go and be positive.

'Mag in my tutorial' from IOS Forever Come on, who is it?
  9. Completely forgot that you signed Sordell. I've seen him a few times for the U-21s and he's always looked pretty decent to me, works his arse off and scored a couple of cracking goals in the games I've watched. Who will your biggest threats and weaknesses be on Monday?
  10. I think Ronaldo is being a bit overly harsh but I agree with the sentiment. Having said that though, I'd prefer Swansea in the Premiership over a team like fucking Stoke any day
  11. I agree, think he's a really good tidy footballer with the potential to turn into an excellent one. Would like to see him get an extended run in our side to see what he can do, but I can't really see who he'd replace at the minute so a loan next season to a promoted side would be great.
  12. Yep, I appreciate good passing football but not just passing for the sake of it without any aim. Both times I've seen them they've bored me.
  13. The day Lee Spackermole plays for England is the day I stop watching football. Edit: just seen the other posts, clearly on the wind up.
  14. Krul - 7 - Very assured when called upon Simpson - 7 - Thought he was fairly solid Williamson - 8 - Very good, not much got past him. Has been good for the last 3 games in my opinion (barring the obvious mistake in the West Brom game) Perch - 8 - Same as Williamson, incredible really how much he's improved recently Santon - 8 - Looked much better defensively. Didn't get forward at all but was obviously playing to our game plan and told not to take risks. Made some good interceptions Tiote - 6 - Didn't really impose himself as much as I hoped he would against their midfield Jonas - 7 - Worked his socks off as usual. Was guilty of giving the ball away a few times but was crucial for us in the last 20mins when he held the ball and won free kicks to take some pressure off Cabaye - 8 - Two lovely assists and worked really hard to close down their options on the ball Ba - 5 - Looked really short of confidence and his touch was just missing today. Really could do with a goal and hope he gets one on Monday because he deserves one for the effort he's put in recently Cisse - 9 - Lethal. Unbelievable finish for the second. Pardew - 8 - Got it spot on in the end. I was criticalin the 1st half because I thought we sat off too much after the goal and I was convinced that they would eventually create chances given how much of the ball they had. However they didn't and I've got to say that yet again he played it perfectly. Swansea - 5 - I know they play nice passing football but it really doesn't go anywhere. I've only seen them live twice this season, at St James' and today, and to be honest they've been really poor both times. I think people get carried away calling them a great side because they always play the short ball and keep possession, that isn't what depicts a good side. A good side will play progressive passing football that has an aim and an end product. At St James' they essentially played possession football in their own half as a method of defending with absolutely no ambition whatsoever. I don't see that as great football, it actually just bores me and it was the same today. Maybe I've just caught them on two off days, I don't know, but if I was a Swansea fan I would like to see some sort of Plan B when it's obvious that Plan A isn't working, as that would have frustrated the hell out of me today. As those passing graphs show, 800-odd completed passes but virtually none within 25 yards of our goal. That to me signifies a team lacking in ideas. If they are to progress they desperately need some more flair players who will unlock defences. As it is though, Rodgers has done a great job to get them to this level. However, I think teams are maybe starting to figure out how to play against them and they won't get beyond their current level unless they get some better attacking players in.
  15. One of the best English finishers in the last 10 years, along with Shearer and Rooney. Still doing it at 38 years of age. You might get to see him play for you again with mon in charge. Wouldn't want it, so much hype and little deliverance would permanently damage his safc reputation when he retires. Also I understood the joke thanks. Fair enough, I just wasn't sure. My last experience of Mackem posters on here was the inane ramblings of Wireside.

Nolan's first and second are the wrong way round and Shola's pen went into the opposite corner. Poor attempt to be honest.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Same here, was just waiting for the drop of the shoulder, cut inside and hit it. Defenders know exactly what he's going to do but they still can't stop him. He was absolutely unbelievable today, and loved the interview.
  21. Thanks for the replies, think we might try out Sports bar then
  22. Could anyone recommend a bar to watch this in Leeds city centre? Cheers
