Surely we have to get at least one centre back in. We can't go into the new season with the same set of centre backs as the last few years with the only addition being a young lad from Forest? Surely?

Any idea how you can get hold of tickets for the York friendly? On .co.uk they're only available to season ticket holders and on the York City website it says that York fans can only get tickets by paying at turnstiles on the day.

I know the whole Sissoko on the wing thing is very Pardew-esque, but from what I remember he actually did pretty well out there. Got a few assists from crosses and cut-backs I think.

He hopefully won't be by the end of the window. We absolutely have to get a commanding centre back in, otherwise signings elsewhere won't mean anything.

Isn't he rated to be the better than Depay as well? Not even close So how good is he? Well, to my mind Memphis Depay, who is 4 years younger, is already a better player and has the potential to become Van Persie/Robben level. Wijnaldum on the other hand is what I would classify as a fairly solid squad player at international level for Holland. For me, he probably wouldn't have been a starter in Brazil, and I think he was often the weak link when he played. Probably a similar level to Cabaye and Sissoko for me. Is he more of a box to box player rather than an attacking mid? That's the impression I got from his YouTube videos.

If Cabaye is going for £13m at the age of 29 then ~£14-15m seems decent for this guy. Assuming of course he is as good as people seem to think he is.
