Not worthy of a thread - 2018 FIFA World Cup edition

Incredible that this is happening and that they will no doubt be allowed to get away with it -
When did this c*** go getting all positive from?!? I would have thought by this stage of the week he'd be telling us well be lucky to get a goalless draw from the mackems game and anything less than a double-figure humping off spurs would be a result worthy of dedication to "mike" himself. Tough place Difficult game Spurs in great form It's the usual dross. Won 4 out of their last 10 games, they are indeed in great form

Always thought Adkins was a bit of a fraud to be honest, speaks in clichés and looks totally clueless a lot of the time in press conferences I've seen.

The blizzard have made his article for the latest issue free to read here: https://www.theblizzard.co.uk/articles/the-great-betrayal/ Well worth a read.

What a ridiculous decision this is, Central Station is going to be utter carnage. We normally get the train up from York on matchday but I think we'll have to see if we can stay overnight with friends in Newcastle on the Saturday, really don't fancy lingering around the station before or after the game.

I particularly enjoyed the little 'yeah' he does after the guy revs the engine

Michael Owen takes delivery of his new car from A…: Enjoy.

Haven't won in 3 games We're on a great run and he still can't bring himself to be positive pre-game

The way Benfica reacted to going behind backs this up, they were shanking the ball out for throw ins, needlessly committing fouls and conceding possession, they were shitting themselves for a good 10-15mins after we scored.

There's no way Colback isn't starting every game when fit, he's Pardew's wet dream.

Well played damn you That statement is 79% true tbf. But misleading. Looking backwards, you could say that most winning teams have also had most of the possession of the ball. It doesn't then follow that if you concentrate on keeping possession of the ball, you boost your chances of winning to the same extent. Lies, damned lies and statistics. Aye it's a stupid stat. By that theory tapping the ball around between the keeper and your back four means you'll win 80% of games? Load of bollocks

Should be have rather than had but never mind

Ryan Taylor given the ball away every time he's had it so far

Brian Pinas defends Alan Pardew, but warns Newcastle lack penetration

In that season we pressed high up pitch, chased everything down and counter attacked brilliantly at times. Since then he has abandoned all of that ethos and resorted to a dormant footballing style aimed at boring the opposition into submission and nullifying threats, however it often results in the opposition looking pumped up on steroids and us a retarded kid that has had a stroke. I don't remember us doing that at all. The football was mostly f***ing crap too, by the way. 2nd half of season we counter attacked to great effect in away games. 1st half we had Cabaye chasing everything down as was Demba, always looked to close down opposition especially at home. We haven't ever played pressing football under Pardew. You're making that up. Agree with Ronaldo here, we never look to press high up the pitch. Lots of teams come up to St James' and do it to us though with their wide men and central midfielders, which makes you realise how little we do it ourselves.

I remember the home game with Hull last season where he tried to bring it out from the back, lost the ball and they almost scored. Pardew screamed at him and waved his finger as if to say 'don't ever do that again.' Pretty sure part of Mapou's game died that day (for us anyway).

This loan just keeps getting better and better doesn't it?

Come on lads, Pards sees them every day in training, he knows what he's doing.

Just read that on BBC website myself, quite incredible.

I actually can't think of a worse idea.

As someone who works in cancer research, I can safely say zicomartin is talking utter bollocks. Not that it really needed saying but there you go.

How many starts has he had since he had a good game (in my opinion) away to Norwich?

Gayle said that whilst commentating on the Southampton game on the stream I watched too. He truly thinks that northerners are a bunch of cavemen who despise everyone from the south. Must be why we hated Chris Hughton and celebrated so much when he got the sack eh? Fucking numpty, infuriates me how these brain dead ex footballers get paid for spouting utter garbage.

The Cardiff game was the perfect example of being able to support the team and protest against Pardew and Ashley at the same time. There were sustained chants supporting the team (the usual Toon Toon and New-ca-stle) which were followed up by the anti-Ashley chants and booing of Pardew when he came out of his dugout. It is possible to do both and I hope the atmosphere on Saturday is as good as it was for Cardiff.
