  1. Bit of this sounds alright: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/arsenal/2555003/Steve-McClarens-FC-Twente-stretch-young-Arsenal-in-Champions-League-Football.html
  2. Yep, that's what's wrong with football these days.
  3. Like...... Tiote, ooooooh ooooh, Tiote, ooooooooh ooooooooooh. He comes from Cote d'Ivore, He's better than Stevie G Tiote, ooooooh ooooh, Tiote, ooooooooh ooooooooooh. Couldn't be arse rhyming them? Sorry, is it not pronounced Ivory? Nay, Ivoire = Iv-wah, French ain't it. Do English people really say "Côte d'Ivoire" instead of just "Ivory Coast"? Read somewhere during the WC that Côte d'Ivoire was angry on the world ( ) for calling them Ivory Coast. They wanted to be know as Côte d'Ivoire. But its impossible to say with a rhythm, so fuck it Comes from cote d'ivoire, better than cantona
  4. Big fall out between HBA's agent and father. Father accusing agent of brainwashing HBA and trying to make money out of him, agent accusing father of making threats to him, Deschamps and HBA. http://www.maxifoot.fr/football/article-10330.htm
  5. Having watched arsenal and chelsea this afternoon, we're gonna get absolutely raped if they're on form when we play them.
  6. http://twitter.com/isaacJLJ
  7. He's cringeworthy as fuck man, always tweeting journos, and tweeting fake player pages.
  8. He seems as much in (out) the loop as that cwarris kid. He's a photographer who 'knows an agent'.
  9. Agreed. Ben Arfa and a striker along with Tiote and I think we'd be safe mid-table. We'd have a team that could we could put out against most premier sides and I wouldn't be embarrassed. That's all we are really asking for. How much of this Tiote have you guys seen? Three-four times when I've had some Eresdivise on in the background. Based on when I paid attention, he'll improve us defensively as he's strong and shit like that and can start an attack from the back. Won't matter as we have no creativity elsewhere to recieve and continue on the passes from him, though. Is that straight from the official scouting report?
  10. http://www.laprovence.com/actu/region-en-direct/probleme-cardiaque-pour-loic-remy [They found a cardiac anomaly during the medical, he won't play tomorrow, will go for further tests on Monday, the results of which will be analysed by five experts, and they'll see what the deal is then. He is an OM player now though, party of the family, and they will look after him. ]
  11. OM having a press conference at 3.30pm UK time, will be to announce Remy and/or explain the craic with his knackered ticker. By the way, this is a decent live feed of any Marseille news that comes out: http://www.laprovence.com/OM-en-direct
  12. Ron Atkinson used to be bad for that.
  13. Neither of you have any idea what cash is available. It's useless saying 80m income less 40m wages = 40m cash to spend. You don't know what repayments are needed, working capital for the day to day running of the place, how much cash we have on hand (which is quite possibly zero seeing as we were overdrawn last season i think). You're probably right and we could afford it, but it's such a pointless arguement.
  14. That's what their DoF keeps saying.
  15. Fuller quote from Allofs: "Ben Arfa is definitely a good player, but we are not looking for anyone in this position. We have a greater need in other positions. Wesley is one option, then we will look at Naldo's situation. But we can happily continue as we are. We will do nothing for now, and see how it goes." http://www.goal.com/de/news/955/champions-league/2010/08/19/2077547/%C3%B6zil-ben-arfa-champions-league-quali-allofs-spricht-klartext From yesterday evening btw.
  16. Them 'new' quotes deinfitely aren't new. They've been on the french websites since this morning: http://www.leparisien.fr/sports/ben-arfa-om-le-clap-de-fin-19-08-2010-1036284.php
  17. I think they've been resigned to losing him since he stopped going to training last week, regardless of other transfers.
  18. Dunno about that, but definite shout for Wales manager in a few years.
  19. Super signing for the gers, after a worrying pre-season with too many outgoings, we are really starting to make moves now. Jelavic has refused to play for rapid tonight as well so hopefully that deal will be completed soon! Btw, if you think our ben arfa thread is crazy, you want to see the jelavic thread over on followfollow, 3500posts and counting! Ben arfa one is already at 7442 popsts.
  20. Vladimir Weiss having a medical at Rangers, loan move.
  21. Bullard probably only wants to come for the physio. Everyone knows what a good record we have with rehabilitating injured players and preventing further injury.
