Maybe he thought he was playing volleyball for a minute? It's the only possible explanation.

I just find it ridiculously funny that Keegan can do no wrong I went overboard in the match thread, but to say he doesn't deserve any of the blame is ridiculous. Poor team selection, poor subs and poor "motivation"

I didn't think we could go down. But realistically, we're not going to get a point from Man Utd, probably not against Blackburn, and probably not against Liverpool. So that's 28 points from 29 games. Can Birmingham get 7 points from their next 4, and the teams above them get enough to go above us? I think they can.

He's got crap players. But leaving our best defender on the bench? Best left back? One of our only creative midfielders? Smith instead of Viduka? Not using a sub until you're 3-1 down? We'd have more points if BSA was still in charge tbh. You were doing well until the last point you made. It's speculation. But would we? It would've only meant picking up a win against Villa, Bolton or Boro, could we have nabbed a boring 1-0 win? Maybe.

It's not his fault that he keeps getting passed the ball with either the wrong weight, or to his wrong foot. I'm sorry but that's complete bollocks. At least three were passed along the ground back to his right side and with little or no pressure, he whacked them straight out for a throw. Well I'm afraid you can't count. Apologies, two went out for throws, the other he tried to control and put himself in the shit. Bottom line, his kicking is not good enough. That's better His kicking isn't good enough, but as long as it goes out for harmless throws it's not the most important issue atm.

As for the second half, I'd much rather see Faye on because I'm still worried we're going to concede. I'd almost go out to start the second half attacking, in the hope that we can get a second goal to kill the game off, because I can't see us holding out the second half without conceding.

Aston Villa V Newcastle Pre-Match Thread 9/2/08 12.45 Kick Off
ShearMagic replied to Jamie's topic in Football
Okay. He's Kevin Keegan, but I don't give a shit, if he was Sam Allardyce we'd be blasting the hell out of him with that team. If we don't win today, I'm blaming him for a poor team selection. Clearly not the best side we could've picked. -
Bets on how long Owen will injure himself for ??

N'ZOGBIA IS SUSPENDED, NOTE, N'ZOGBIA IS SUSPENDED Given Beye Taylor Faye Enrique Milner Barton Emre Duff Martins Owen Although personally, I'd much rather Cacapa to Taylor. -
He better not leave. But if he did, at least it's going to be in the summer, and I'd hope we'd get a decent fee for him. What I'm trying to say, is that if he did choose to leave, at least we'd be able to get a replacement.

Same here, but replace 'Sheffield' with 'Australia' -
Newcastle 1 - 1 Middlesbrough - 03/02/08 - Post match reaction from page 15

It's actually the opposite. Many people overrate him because he's a Geordie (albeit a Cockney one). One of the blocks he made he shouldn't have had to, if he was awake and marking like he should've done in the first place. And yet Faye, who has doen that sort of thing at least as much as Taylor this season, if not more, is lauded as a "beast", and a top player. Odd. Faye isn't slow. Faye isn't clumsy. Faye doesn't pass the ball back to given 555550000 times a match. -
