I think they always flirt with the idea of spending a lot of money but never fully go for it. Can't say I blame them because they simply cannot compete with the big boys unless they decide to allow themselves to get into debt like Man United do.

I think someone may have finally clocked on to how useless he is during the confederations cup. The dude was in sunny brazil watching some quality football while getting paid and he couldn't give a fuck sounded like he wanted to top himself the whole time.

Seeing some of the fee's going round so far this summer like Cavani,Falcao and even stuff like £8m for that dwight gayle. Plus the the rumoured fee's demanded by teams for certain players like Bale, Suarez, Fabregas, etc Really brings home where we're at as a club these days. While we're haggling over loans and apparently £7m, it's easy to forget we are in a league where we are supposed to be in direct competition with the teams who are spending absolute fortunes. Really sad to think of what football is these days.

Am I the only one who doesn't believe any of these ridiculous prices being quoted for bale . All seems like over dramatic bullshit just to sell papers/gain viewers/get hits. No chance someone would bid £100m for him and if they do it would be a mistake imo.
