Yeah we offered far more for Aubameyang allegedly so it can't be that we can't afford it.

Still in talks and it's July 29th. It's the same thing that bugs me with the Gomis haggling. Surely it's something you do far earlier than this.

Soldado to spurs confirmed by the valencia chairman apparently.

Not only that. We've somehow been led to believe that 8 million is the utmost we can pay for any player, whilst other clubs we are competing with (the sovereign states of Swansea and Southampton for example), are happily spending double figures to get their preferred targets. Yeah this annoys me the most. We'll just have to accept that just like Debuchy last year, if they don't think someone is worth the extra million they won't stump it up even if it's for like £5-6m You could argue that £7m for final year contract is a good offer but just shows again why do we only target players who are in their final year etc. Surely we would be better suited targeting players that would be perfect for us and if we have to pay market value once in awhile then fair enough.

So glad i remembered to cancel it this year

not a flattering pic of moke that

The vibes coming from Lyon seem to suggest a compromise could be reached anyway. Will suit everyone for this deal to go through so I'm still confident it will.

Would have a lot of similarities to the Ba deal I think. Cheap off a relegated team but would bring us a much needed dimension to the team. I know some are against it due to him snubbing us before and of course the court hearing. Obviously we're trying to work around that with the loan deal so yeah he is the main guy I want us to sign out of all those linked. Still question marks over his injury proneness mind.

I've used this on fifa and I can confirm this works well

They came pretty close in that final with Barca like despite have 10 men. But I agree they don't look like they have a hope of winning the champions league of even the premier league anytime soon.

I'm glad we're trying to do something about it but there's every chance we'll continue to see long periods of not having most or all of our 'best team' available. How many times did we all keep saying it last year. We've got a decent first 11 but I cannot for the life of me think of a game where we put out our best team with everyone fit? Maybe spurs first game? except the only player who looked up to speed in that game was ben arfa so not sure it counts. Point is most likely we will rarely see our best 11 out unless we get lucky like we did in 11/12

People forget how ridiculously cursed we seem to be with injuries. Most years we tend to be top of the injury league. Ofcourse we will miss someone like Perch. Just off the top of my head; Krul - struggled with injuries recently particularly ones that can be recurring. Coloccini - has persistent back/hamstring trouble. S.Taylor - when did he last play a full season? Santon - quite a few hamstring pulls and also a known knee cartilage problem from when he first joined. Debuchy- again hamstrings. Missed a fair few games for lille and had a few problems for us in his first half season. Tiote- again muscle injuries Cabaye-groin etc Ben-Arfa- May be harsh but again hasn't yet played a full season for us in 3 years Shola - That's potentially 8 of our first 11 you know more than likely could miss chunks of next year and that's not to mention the likes of Vuckic, Gosling, Marveaux etc who also have their own history of problems.
-
Is quite extraordinary we are a few hours away from the 29th July and the team that came 16th last season have yet to add to the squad and worse have let some squad players like perch leave.

Kind of completely eliminates the point then no? If he is lecturing on tattoos and stuff then of course no one is going to pull him up on having them himself.

Might have lost a bet. I hope.

Not sure people will like it if the loan doesn't have an option to buy included.

He's got a very good left foot. The problem is he seldom uses it. Oh No he hasn't... Aye but you think Beardsley was a midfielder. Pipe down & actually watch. He's absolutely right though. If Santon has a "very good left foot" as you say, it's about time he started showing it on the pitch.. Chelsea home - there's one for a start - a left footed assist & he put a few more decent balls in - the problem is there's never anyone who can header there to slot it in. Which one of the two right footed assists are you referring to here? -

Yeah the quest for the long lost direct from a corner goal goes on Lee Ryder proving he's on the money once more though -
I think if he came and scored some goals like the ones he bagged at QPR people would soon love him.
