We don't know any of the real truth. For all we know we have been trying to get him to sign onne but his terms have been unreasonable or he flat out refused and we are trying to save face in PR by saying that we didn't give him a contract yet because he still had 4 years left. Either way I'm not disagreeing. He should have been put on a new contract. I remember saying it last summer and I said we should sort it before his form goes up even further because we will live to regret it...and low and behold he went on a run mid season that would have meant any contract talk just jumped into a bracket we could no longer afford. It was a shit show either way but I've no doubt having the uncertainty with the sporting directors especially Mitchell has contributed to this mess.

Probably. But it's adding an extra few inches on to the financial dildo we are being fucked with already.
-
How does that change anything. He still could refuse to play like he has done. It might have been a more amicable split than the shit show of this summer but the end result would ultimately be the same he would have left this summer for similar amount just with a release clause instead of negotiation.

I'd take Kolo-Muani but don't think that was ever on the cards and even less so now at this late stage. I feel like it we drop £60m on either JSL or Wissa it might make me feel even worse over the Isak fee.

With the window closing at 7pm it would suggest any signings likely need to already be in the country for medicals etc. So would rule out any overseas players and limit us to domestic None of which excitement at current prices.

Unless we agreed something before the Isak sale then we are fucked tomorrow.

Has old Sacha hair been right about anything this summer? But late to be considering buddy
-
I can't explain why but this creep calling him Dibu over and over irritates the fuck out of me. He's not your mate. So clear this summer he has a direct contact to Isak and Martinez's agent.

Does everyone remember their first reactions when that first leak came in that Liverpool were inquiring about his availability when we moved for Ekitike and were ready to bid £120m? Pretty sure universally across the board we all said fuck off and add another £50m atleast on to that. Fast forward to deadline day, who would have thought we would be possibly on the bring of accepting that bid and without a replacement. Farcical stuff, won't believe it til it happens and even then I'll struggle to get my head around it.

The lines are drawn from the defending player not the attacker? So the only bit offside is the tiniest part of his arm above the elbow. To be fair before the cgi image appeared. From the live footage he did look slightly offside.

My only concern is if you look at the likes of Liverpool Chelsea Arsenal etc. None of played that well so far but apart from Chelsea drawing one they have all god maximum points despite their iffy performance. Contrast to us who I believe have been the better team in all 3 of our games but come away with 2 points. I know hopefully things will change when we get our full team out there but with the CL extra toll etc. I think we need to find ways to win when we're not at it like the teams that finished above us last year. But importantly we have to atleast win games when we're playing well.

Lost count of how many of our corners hit the first man last night. Was very poor.
-
That was my point wasn't it? He did right by his team. Didn't refuse to play even though playing meant he now is cup tied for us, which could have put us off any possible deal. Also the fact he was only able to come on as a sub and had gone off early in the previous league game would suggest he does have a slight injury.

Should be highlighted more in the media this. Agent with only two big names on client list needs final pay off so is forcing moves for his clients. Wasn't there something mentioned about 3 years of a 6 year contract being the last time he sees any money out of us for the original transfer aswell. I know the player has their reasons to want to leave but he has clearly had an agent with an ulterior motive other than the best interests of his client in his ear all summer.
-
It's a pointless argument as it means nothing really but in my opinion, peak Wilson before all the injuries caught up with him over the last few years is by far the superior player to Strand Larsen. My preferred preference is Isak stays and plays again. But I realise the reality of that happening is very slim. Therefore if it's Larsen or Wissa instead of no one then unfortunately it looks like we will be over paying for one of them.
-
Don't want him. He and Isak should be forced to stay at their clubs and for the good of football try and nip this new Instagram statement shite in the bin before they all start doing it. Atleast Strand-Larsen hasn't been quite so disrespectful. I know he didn't play yesterday but I think he partly genuinely does have an injury as it was talked about going into the season and also his club probably don't want the take the risk incase he is sold and they miss out on his transfer fee if they already signed a replacement.

Defo seems more dangerous as a wide player currently where he can get abit more time and space. Seem to lack the striker instincts today with a couple of crosses where you felt a seasoned number 9 would have got Infront got their defender. Needs game time to develop but not sure he will get it now and if we want to continue to challenge CL places then we can't really afford to give it to him.
