No clue. All they have really talked about as far as player signings goes is that they want "young, hungry" players with things to prove rather than the typical designated players.

My guess would be that they picked him up because he was the highest scorer in the league behind Ryan Pore. Could make a good back-up player if not a starter. A lot more people to sign yet.

Bright Dike Ryan Pore Kevin Cronin and the surprise was Eddie Johnson formally of Man U (academy) and the Austin Aztex.

I have a feeling it will be: Cronin, Pore, Dike, and perhaps Alhassan being the four players unveiled today.

Interesting. Will watch. Hoping, though knowing just how unlikely it is, that they have a designated player ready to be announced. That would be awesome but the rumour is that they are saving that for after the kit announcement in December to garner more interest so we'll see.

http://www.mlssoccer.com/videos?catid=1916&id=9750 Portland Timbers are to announce their first MLS signings (rumored to be USL players already at the club) live.

I couldn't realistically see him put money into anything other than the LA Galaxy.
  9. I know we're way down the table but one win and we can jump almost half the table. Still early doors.
  10. That chick in the tunnel behind the managers
  11. really good craic by the mackem's in the chat room where I'm watching this match too: "Anon2867: evrtime i go to a party i take wellies coz its knee deep in clunge"
  12. "Me and the missus are a bit worried the spare bed won't be long enough for Andy! #nufc #NUFC"
  13. Would Rooney go back to Everton? Would Everton fans have him back?
  14. A lot of MLS teams are steering well clear of Pires at the moment, take from that what you will.
  15. Not only that, but he's a total moron who doesn't show any sign of learning from his mistakes. We should get rid asap, he's not worth the hassle. No way man, didn't you hear? Legend in the making.
  16. Would anyone take Hodgson here if we were to let go of Hughton around the same time that Liverpool bins Hodgson?
  17. So we're basing his ability on a 65 minute appearance in one of our crappest performances of the season? Christ man, the way people write off players here is ridiculous. Based on that measure, we'd only have Coloccini, Jonas and Shola left at the f***ing club You hit the nail on the head with this one.

  19. Wow that's bad. At least it looked like a nice day in Newcastle.
  20. As far as our relegation chances going up when they do well I can agree with you but as far as the product they put on the field I would disagree. They play a good game of keeping the ball on the ground and passing it around nicely - very pleasing on the eye.
