  1. They seem confident for this. Official site publishing a “5 reasons why we’ll beat Newcastle United”. Let’s maul them. https://www.themag.co.uk/2023/10/borussia-dortmund-official-site-publishes-5-reasons-why-theyll-beat-newcastle-united-interesting/
  2. Only other one, surely.
  3. Easily in the top 3 right-backs in the world. When was the last time we had one of the best players in the world playing for us, Shearer?
  4. Keep doing it though which is worrying. Having bad day after bad day and still being only a point behind us is infuriating.
  5. I don’t think we’ll ever have a right-back as good as Trippier again. Such a special player.
  6. Not a dig at Almiron (well yeah it is, I guess ) but it’s amazing to have someone able to cross from the right.
  7. Genuinely one of the best centre-backs in the world. Criminally underrated.
  8. Agh come on. Gotta make this pressure count!
  9. Looked very assured since I’ve put it on.
  10. In January they mean, yeah? With all the new revenue streams we’re landing, we’ve surely got a bit more wiggle room in the summer right? I’ve actually no idea. Yet another example of FFP keeping non-established clubs from competing. Bigger clubs can afford mistake after mistake while the others are punished heavily for taking risks in order to upset the status quo.
  11. 12 months is a bit of a shitter for us. Height of stupidity from the lad, if true.
  12. Find certain parts of Italy really overrated but you certainly can’t knock the food .
  13. Another 5-10m in the coffers and free flights?
  14. I’d be be all for it as he’d give us another option that we don’t have. If Bruno’s out we don’t have a natural sitting midfielder and you’d imagine he’d give us more solidity defensively. Worried about his form, fitness and willingness to be a rotation player for us though.
  15. Bit of an exaggeration. Think it was just one or two people saying that. Had a few iffy half’s alongside some very decent performances too. I’m sure the vast majority of the forum would agree losing him for a significant amount of time would be pretty devastating.
  16. It was a good strategy for smaller teams a few years ago when Championship players were undervalued. Nowadays the best young English players in the Championship are on loan from the bigger clubs; we’ve seen with Gibbs-White and -albeit not in the championship- Lewis Hall recently that clubs don’t let their young English talents go cheaply anymore. I’m sure there some gems and bargains to be had still, but they’re not as prevalent as before. Completely agree though that a young player performing well in the Championship is likely to be a hit in the PL.
