In the PL we had 876 crosses, the most in the league.
-
And, as it turns out, we could have walked into Europe. The only positive I can muster is the wheels coming off may end up being better for igniting change.
-
I’d give it a 4 assessing the performances on the pitch. A generous 2 if you include the business preceding it. I would have accepted everything, including the derby defeats as bad as they were, with a strong run-in. The last 6 weeks were the worst and most disappointing part of the season IMO.
-
It’s a risk because if the team doesn’t start well it will be a mess. But also little reason to assume a meaningless May performance will continue into August.
-
What I find the most frustrating today is how easily we could have limped into Europe just by conceding a few less dumb goals.
-
A half assed wall and no reaction to the rebound. That was pathetic.

So tired of Murphy.

Pretty crazy: Most Europa League/UEFA Cup titles, all time 5 - Unai Emery 4 - Sevilla (excluding Emery) 3 - Liverpool, Tottenham, Juventus, Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid

Tino will be annoyingly good for Arsenal at either fullback position and it's not ideal to lose him, but between his injuries and deficiencies going forward I don't think he's a transformational player. Selling the likes of him is the type of unfortunate thing we need to do. Hall needs a massive pay rise.

Feels like the first real progress in ages, so very welcome news.

Quietly confident we’re going to be awesome next season.
-
City's 2023/24 was also kind of like us last season in the sense that they pushed a core group for probably one more season than is ideal in terms of transitions / long term planning. But City won the league, which I actually think is one of Pep's crowning achievements coming off of the treble, and we won a trophy / qualified for the CL.

Don’t think anyone is saying he doesn’t know the price. It cannot reasonably be said that it is any manager’s job to account for financial implications in modern football. This is where Eales and PIF have gotten off easy and where Eddie should not be taking the brunt of the blame. And if you’re blaming Eddie for Minteh and Anderson then you clearly aren’t trying to argue anything in good faith.
-
It is weird that Nickson was seemingly given a lesser role at a time of need given his past contributions (that we know about).
-
Annoyingly tense. But what a relief.
-
This is the team I expected to come out of the international break.
-
That’s a nice addition to the Pope lowlight reel.
-
Credit to Murphy for getting up immediately. Many would have lost the opportunity trying to get the foul.
-
I'm not sure how anyone can continue to peddle this. Grossly misleading.
-
What's that? A list of how much better we'd be and how Eddie's recruitment would be viewed if we were able to land the players we wanted?
-
Not sure I’ve ever wanted a season to end more than this one.

Bruno is everything really

Without fail. What an awful season.
-
Against all odds we’d have all to play for in the run-in with a winner here.

After reading the ESPN article about Spurs flawed recruitment and inability to pass I'd really love to see how our whole team ranks in Gradient's passing ratings. I have a feeling it's not pretty.
