  1. Everyone needs to pump the brakes on the title talk. Maybe things will look differently if we have a perfect summer, but we need to clear the hurdle of playing well every ~3 days before that’s even a realistic dream.

    Dan Burn

Yup, he was trying to will us to the finish at times today. I’m like one more goal or sliding block away from starting a GoFundMe for a BDB statue.
  3. One of the worst touches you’ll ever see from a pro.
  4. A goal and we’re probably in the CL. A goal for them and we may regret this half for a long time. Please.
  5. I don’t understand why Cucurella has been granted the entire left side of the pitch.
  6. Thought he was missing next season for a moment there.
  7. Agreed, it'd be like announcing we're moving without a rendering or a location. Except then they add this: Based on what we've heard, updates to the current club crest should be minimal and therefore Refine & Revive is our recommended approach They must have some options in this direction, which would be nice to show. Or they will end up saying "it was too complicated to refine."
  8. When this first came up I kind of shrugged. I like parts of both of the circular ones from the 70s and 80s. But I got kind of a sinking feeling reading that. I absolutely hate this: But it was created in a different era. Its intricate design doesn't always translate well in today's digital world. And it's difficult to reproduce it clearly and consistently. As football and the world changes, so too must the symbol that unites us. Fuck off. Put a shovel in the ground on the stadium or training ground before messing with the crest.
  9. Wonderful. I'm going to assume those "other costs" are agent fees or bonuses or something, so not to NUFC. We probably get around £15m. Let's just say his wages were £100k and skip any debate about that. That means the combination of player sales income and wage savings is roughly £10m per year for the next three years.
  10. It’d be nice to be 1/50 but we’re still in good shape.
  11. We’ve had some moments down the left, but Isak has barely touched the ball.
  12. "I'm very much at home and living a dream," he said. "For me to leave, it must be something great for the club, not for me. "I don't worry about it. I trust the club and my agents. I'm so happy here and I want to stay."
  13. If City beat Villa we could be five clear [City wins] I'm still worried Villa will win the rest and can't see Forest losing, but if we just take care of what we need to do we'll be fine. [Beat Ipswich 3-0] Now that Villa and Forest are out of the cup they have no distractions and Liverpool winning the title means they are now terrible [Forest lose to Brentford] Man United and Spurs and Palace and the Amex and everything is bad ----------------- You all are going to drive yourselves mad. The most relevant fact is since mid-December (i.e. The Rise of Tonali), which is the equivalent of half a season as of now, we are the second best team in the country and we beat the only one better in a cup final.
  14. 6 English teams in the CL and possibly winning two of the 3 tournaments is going to shine a light on how financially dominant the PL has become. Not really sure what can be done. It would be a shame if UEFA responded by making an example out of a club like Chelsea.
  15. Yeah, I hope at least one of Leeds, Burnley, Sheffield United / mackems stay up next season. I think Leeds with their new owners, planned stadium expansion, etc. have the best chance.
  16. Without even looking back at the numbers I don't see how Spurs could possibly have any sort of problem. What's the source on that?
  17. People haven't really caught on to the gap that has grown. I said recently to a group of people that the clubs trying to create a mid-table moat around them like Fulham, Brighton, Brentford, Palace, etc. are arguably as big a problem as the ones at the top and they all thought I was crazy. The fact they are all southern clubs makes it worse too. Pulling the drawbridge up on clubs with long histories like Leeds, Sunderland, the Sheffield clubs, West Brom, etc. feels especially wrong.
  18. I don't think the average footballer thinks about these things. But if the same Chelsea as we've seen recently shows up then Liverpool can beat them without being near their best.
  19. Meslier is horrendous. They are going straight back down without a significant GK upgrade. If I were Leeds I'd be calling us every day asking if Pope is available.
  20. Our GK can’t touch anyone going for the ball and we can’t stand next opposing goalkeepers. Got it.
  21. Quite sure the general consensus would be that it's over and the FA Cup is far more important anyway.
