  1. Going to take a long time unfortunately. Getting into the EL knockouts would help.
  2. Can we score before they go up 2-0? Seems 50/50 at this point.
  3. Livramento is a spectacular crosser of the ball. Puts some serious pace on them.
  4. Maybe if you'd controlled your betting habits we'd be in a position to do that.
  5. What a stadium that is. It's not surprising there were some nerves out there, especially with a makeshift team and two youngsters filling in. I'd bring Miggy on before 60 minutes either for Hall or Trippier, who clearly needs to rest at some point.
  6. Hall should have done better, but I'm pretty sure if we scored that we'd be talking about shades of Brazil '70 and not shambolic defending. The flick and the header were class.
  7. Not having Isak for these two games (bar 15 minutes) has been a huge miss IMO.
  8. I'd love to see us make it through a game without more injuries. Anything beyond that is a bonus.
  9. It's weird because mentally I have a hard time processing Livramento as a winger.
  10. If we lose some people will probably be mad at this but we just don't have a choice. Gordon has played a ton of minutes since the Euros.
  11. In theory could be Hall in midfield, Tino and Trippier as FBs, and Joelinton/Willock either side of Wilson? Hope not though.
  12. I know nothing about Dortmund's U19s but in my head they must be mint, so this seems like a very good result.
  13. Vicario looking like a fish that just hit solid ground
  14. Not sure anyone hates VAR like Graeme Le Saux.
  15. Spurs stadium really is something.
  16. Now that Chelsea have scored I'd love to see Spurs get one. Oh god
  17. The injuries will make it tough but not impossible we're level or ahead of them by the time we play.
  18. Agreed, many are due back in Jan/Feb. Assuming that happens and aside from other injuries (please no) I think there are only two things we'd react to in January: Botman needs surgery and is out for most of the season; Isak still struggling / Wilson injured.
  19. Things our manager used to say a decade or so ago: And very topical:
  20. The man is a magician, but we're another injury or two away from disaster. We have a game roughly every four days from now to Jan. 1, including the upcoming international break. Trips to Dortmund, Paris, Tottenham, Goodison, Anfield, and Stamford Bridge, plus home for Chelsea, Man United, and Milan. The man deserves a key to the city if two of the following are true come the 2nd of Jan.: In or around the top 4/5, in the League Cup, and still in Europe.
  21. Well shit, and of course after Targett gets hurt too. Guess we'll be seeing a lot of Livramento and Trippier with Hall mixed in?
  22. Agreed, just losing Maddison or Son would seriously impact them. Though that's probably more like us losing Bruno or Trippier.
  23. Without saying it he's pretty much confirming there that Bruno's clause is specific to Spain / Madrid and/or Barca.
  24. https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/dan-ashworth-laughs-manchester-united-28053949 Imagine two years ago we'd have a manager wanted by England and a DoF wanted by Manchester United and neither one is interested in leaving.
