  1. Aye. Probably down to his employers.
  2. Don't really know what they're achieving by booing people who are already trying their best. Imagine if you were giving 100% at work and you had some twat booing you for not being good enough. I'd be devestated.
  3. Aye, this stuff is really getting on my tits. The last 30mins against Everton aside, I'm struggling to think of many times when the players didn't try their absolute best. The players are still fully behind him IMO, they're just not good enough collectively. Aye. It's like it's used simply to add strength to the debate when it's not valid what so ever. We might be waning in confidence, understandably, but certainly not lack of motivation or effort. I don't think any one of us think Rafa is above criticism either, I just think most of us see that he's a world class manager and the best (current) thing about our club. One thing that always seemingly gets overlooked too with regards to Benitez is that he seemingly has been pulling the strings to rid us of the twat at the top. Benitez is worth his weight in gold for that alone.
  4. Nah, if it's the same person asking the same question and getting the same answer time and time again from different people, it's not everyone else's fault that the lad's a complete dunce. Your love for Rafa is clouding your judgement lad, many many people on here are so reluctant to even question his failings and inadequacies this season. Lots of things that he has done or implemented this season is open for question Mike Ashley is solely at fault for false promises or providing an adequate budget to obtain quality within the team that's true. What he is not at fault for is team selection; tactics; squad rotation and motivation. So my question to you again is whos fault is this? take the black and white glasses off before you answer it Can you provide us with 3 or 4 games where you would have fielded different players or tactics, with utmost certainty that these tactics would have worked and we'd have had more points? I'm curious. Also I don't know what this un-motivated shite is. Looks like we've given 100% all season to me.
  5. There's a difference between managers not getting the best out of their teams and managers getting more than the best out of their teams and the players just not being good enough though. I'm sure someone made a great analogy about a mechanics or something somewhere on here. Hits the nail on the head. Also, the buck only stops at managers because the people above them call the shots. It'd suit Ashley to sack Rafa if we went down to pretend that it wasn't his own inadequacies that caused it. When the reality is the same mistakes have been made for a decade so it should now be obvious what the issue is and the person who is responsible. I cannot believe that as fans of our club, said fans still cannot see this. Whether people like his style of football or not is irrelevant too, Benitez is the most qualified manager Newcastle United has ever had. For me it is a little bit short sighted to put the blame at the players and / or managers feet when they're simply doing the best (if not better) than can be expected.
  6. So in your eyes hes basically untouchable if he takes us down whos fault is it then? The same person it's been for the last 10years of utter shite. The fat cunt.
  7. FWIW I've been contesting what you were saying vs Man City and I thought yesterday, despite my adoration for Rafa we seemed to lack any urgency in our play and I genuinely think that Rafa had a bit to play in that. Seemed to me we were cautiously set up rather than going gung-ho and forcing mistakes like we should have been. Think it's partially the players being terrified of making mistakes at home mind. Was disappointed in us yesterday but we didn't lose so it's not the be all end all. I think Rafa wants to not lose first and foremost at the moment and wants a clean sheet for the defence so towards the end I'm sure he would have been fine with a 0-0 draw. Something to build on maybe... I'd like to think so mate. Could really do with beating Stoke now.
  8. TBH like there was once when he could have thrown it out to Perez or it might have been Yedlin in the second half and the crowd went apeshit. For me he did the right thing. Whoever it was had 4 Brighton players ahead of him and no one to pass it to. Our fans did my tits in yesterday tbh.

5 for me. This next month will swing me either way

  11. Thanks people. I always pass on these messages to people in the group and they're always very grateful. I wasn't saying the above post for thanks like I just wanted to clear up that we weren't having some sort of group breakdown Without fellow fans helping to fund us we couldn't do it, so it's a team effort across the whole fan base one way or the other.
  12. That was probably me. I was having a hissy fit in all honesty. Yesterday was a particularly bad day for us. Not many could make it and I did the whole setting up of the display by myself and collected a lot of the flags in by myself also. Anyone who has handled the surfer will know how heavy it is and I had to drag that over from one corner to the other and sort it all out which took an hour pre match and I put the wavers out whilst nearly breaking my neck in our cupboard which needs a good tidy out. That took another hour so I was saying like why shouldn't I be able to go see my best mates for a pint pre match when seemingly that's what others were doing. A few of the lads were taking the piss cause I'd put them on the bottom walkway and I lost my shit and told them not to start, then they set it off far too early and the display was shit so I felt as though I'd entirely wasted my time. Everyone in the group puts a shit load of graft into it so I was probably a little bit unfair but I'm sure most of them could see why I was furious. I've had my rant at people within the group and that's that. We'll be ready to go again vs Swansea
  13. Like I've said previously today is big for us to level with Brighton and make our battle with them a 0 point deficit that's why I see it a must win. If worst came to worst we've already beat Stoke and Swansea so taking draws vs both them and we'd be doing better on a team vs team basis. That's why we must beat Huddersfield too. It's not as Black and White as that for obvious reasons but taking points of those around us will ensure our safety imo.
  14. To get his full potential you would need to make someone like him a captain. As silly as it sounds and nobody would agree, he would benefit from being a leader. Hes the kind of player who needs an arm around him now and then, but would feel immensely important and loved if he had a big role to play. Trouble is somewhere someone might trust a lad like him with this responsibility, but Rafa would never. He's been made captain for us before and shown no thought or responsibility.
  15. There's nowt to choose between Elliott and Darlow tbh, they just have different weaknesses. Exactly.
  16. I'd like to think so. There has to be a breaking point surely.
  17. It’s not a silly comparison at all the city team were set up to get a result against a far superior team by putting in 100% into the game, putting pressure on and restricting space whilst also ensuring a counter threat was available which is the only way you are going to counter act a far superior team. If you allow teams with quality to play they will. You’re right though we have another game today and a vital one at that. Aye, but my point is it was a one off game for them with literally like nothing to lose what so ever. If we had have taken a battering it could have serious consequences if that effected our goal difference to the point that we don't stay up. It's a long shot I appreciate but we all know Rafa plays it safe. I genuinely think that despite it not being good to watch, it was the right tactics to employ, only we don't have the players to quite carry it out successfully against a team of that stature. That's nowt to be ashamed of, because we've done better defensively against them than most the league, luck or no luck...and if it were the former by God it's about time we had some. Anyways... I'm confident we'll play more attacking football today and we'll win. 3 points vs Brighton would be huge in the long run.
  18. There's no real reason for him to want out is there. I mean we've barely pressured him ever and we all continue to turn up and invest time, passion and effort in it. I still think it's gonna happen like but only for a good price for the fat cunt.
  19. I didn't say either were very good... There are times where Darlow would have done better than Elliot and vice versa. No need to be clever dicks.
  20. That Bristol City comparison is a little silly if you ask me like. Winning a sprint of a one off cup game, that has no bearing on your role and maintaining in your position is not the same as running the marathon of the Premier League and also on the back of like 4 points from the last 30 or whatever it was. Rafa played the safest bet and it nearly paid off. If we do stay up on goal difference I'm sure we'll all be praising us for not getting wankered in this game. Not much chance of it coming down to that I appreciate but still... We're not to know that at present. The way the tactics were executed, I.e. With 100% grit, discipline and determination was not the issue but not enough quality or ability was. We'll win today though so let's not worry too much.
