Bored of all these 'moments' now.

Newcastle United promoted back to the Premier League

It's not that concerning. How many times have we actually been behind? -
Good banner last neet

Carrying a family friend, ex serviceman and true gentleman today. It will be a very poignant Blaydon Races as like Pav he was proud to be called a Geordie. RIP Pav and Jack (Charlton rather ironically)

1) Football has changed since the KK days, you could even argue it has since the days of SBR too 2) It's his first full season in charge of this club, not just the squad of players and 3) We won fuck all under the last two heroes so, so what if it's boring football. If we win something I couldn't give a fuck.

Love Benitez but for me he should have went with a different formation and accommodated a slightly different style of play last night. Sheffield Wednesday had done their research on us and normally that wouldn't have mattered but without Shelvey it did. I'm not Shelveys biggest fan and never have been (that's not to say I don't like him) but he has proven he is a cut above this division. This became more apparent last night and it was infuriating to watch a hapless performance from the rest of our midfield without him there. I would like to think over the next 4 games that he misses, the lads in the centre up their game to show he (Jonjo) has to play out of his skin to get back in the set up. Ritchie and / or Gouffran need 3 or 4 games out for me too. Ritchie in particular looks to have blown out of steam a tad and Gouffran is just Gouffran. He's a great work horse but provides little in way of creative threat. For me Atsu should be replacing one of those in the coming games as a reminder that they must be on top of their game to be selected. Darlow was pretty fantastic and I'd like to see the goal again but we just don't seem as watertight as we maybe should be defensively. Despite the fact I like all our lads at the back. I suspect Rafa might add quality right up the spine of the team and possibly obtain a new winger and / or full back this January and in the summer. What comes first I don't know. For the first time since SBR though I feel like he sees what the majority of fans see. Wednesday deserved their win and whilst you must take note of why, we mustn't be too disillusioned. It wasn't just a team that needed turning around, it was (and still is) a club...

One of my mates seen him outside of the City Tavern seeing off some friends and offered him in for a beer and a game of pool which actually took him up on. Another had his photo with him in Morrisons of all placea. Seems an all round nice guy.

Thank god we took this stance. #Rafalution

Love this guy me. Stood up to Ashley and Pardew as much as SP and AO. Top lad.

okay guys. Settle down

I used to think he was a right twat until he turned his former around for us in the championship and first season back in the premiership. Now I have a soft spot for him. He's clearly a scrote though

Aye they did. They changed it from a 60 minute walk out to a 69th or vice versa. I still stuck to my time as did many others. Was chuffed when I seen all my mates and dads mates in the pub as they'd walked too. Really proved to me they cared about me and the club. True faith trying to steal people's thunder again. When actually it was about the club not any individual. Showed themselves up with that like.

Can anyone find that Cardiff walk out thread?

Really hope this comes in and like minded fans are allowed to generate an atmosphere

I see his point albeit it is somewhat pedantic. Shelvey is our most talented, experienced and effective centre midfielder. Which would ultimately make him the best in that particular position. However, is that to say he is more effective or better than Lascelles is at CB or Gayle is up front? It's a pointless debate really as it's all subjective. Shelvey is our most effective player in my opinion and actually I've never been and still am not his biggest fan. This will be a test of the other players' steal and actually the likes of Hayden need to step up and fill the spot.

I see F10F's and Foluwashola's point like. SP in itself didn't change the course of history but I think it at least made people sit up and listen. Disgruntled fans stopped just walking away and some came back to protest. It was a line drawn in the sand saying we won't just sit and let you fuck our club. SackPardew and Newcastle fans as a whole were ridiculed in the aftermath but this time next year I suspect no twat will be laughing anymore when we're back to where we were with Pardew (at least) and with a club everyone is connected with and buying into...let alone with a world class manager in charge. I'll never forget comments like "you got rid of Pardew and now look who we have?!" Aye. Look who we have now. I suspect Ashley just woke up and smelled the coffee. Maybe he was sick of getting it from all angles and decided to placate the masses whilst he got his sports shop in order. I think SP and moreso AO at least influenced this. Money influenced it more though. Nonetheless, I'm proud some of our fan base stood up to be counted and kinda put themselves in the firing line for those who only like to complain behind closed doors. It certainly (at the time) reinforced the age old song "Newcastle United will never be defeated!"

bet she sings "oh Gutierrez" too

People whinge about people talking attendances in here then accept things like the Pardew thread This forum has it's own trendy topics that only a small minority of our fan base probably actually give a shit about. Fnd it strange me like.
