  1. I disagree. Folk would still complain. I think, personally, folk complain in some case because it's therapeutic. Fatigue isn't acceptable to them because it has to be something of greater accountability. Substituting lesser (but less fatigued) players in would give them that accountability to complain about just as folk are complaining about the lack of. Folk just want to complain.
  2. Don't think he was not arsed like. Do think he played without his usual composure and that cost us up top though once or twice.
  3. I don't think anyone who is saying Bournemouth and Everton were fatugue related would apply that same reasoning to Liverpool, Man City or Brighton... You're generalising.
  4. Objectively aye. Subjectively, it's not a great surprise.
  5. Folk didn't blame Brighton or Liverpool or Man City on fatigue. They blamed losses vs Bournemouth and Everton, both games they pressed us after we played 3 games in a week and beyond. So that's not a fair statement
  6. Last year we weren't in the CL and West Ham had a heavy fixture schedule. Bournemouth were arguably weaker as were Everton. Ideally we'd take 9 from those looking at them realistically, but with our injury situation and fixture congestion, it's not pointing towards anything other than fatigue for me.
  7. Gordon was up top for that one iirc.
  8. Results wise, Everton and Bournemouth are shite results away from home. Brighton you could argue we should be aiming for a draw at least. We lost at home to Liverpool from a good position. Honestly think more is being made of this 'away form' than necessary. It's not that terrible, just isn't as good as our home form.
  9. Is there an injury return date list kicking aboot somewhere?
  10. After watching that clip of Klopp last night and seeing how sour he was in success I absolutely loved seeing how dignified Howe was in defeat. A constructive criticism would be that we need to find an alternative style of play for nights such as tonight, where we need to conserve energy but grind out 3 points. Easier said than done and also easier said in the aftermath. The glaringly obvious thing to me is that our players looked fucking knackered. I cannot see us getting owt at Spurs without players coming back and my only clutch at straws would be that the home game vs Milan might have our fans fired up to really push them over the line and we (as fans) owe that to the players and staff, in my opinion. Mental tiredness was what undone us tonight in the first instance, I commented recently to friends how our decision making was almost always spot on. On several occasions tonight it wasn't. They're only human after all. We eventually got punished, as happens at this level. As much as I want to win every game I actually think finishing 4th in our group and hunting down the domestic cups and 4th would benefit us more long term. Champions league might be the big earner and the marketing piece for potential signings but we have a very good chance to go after the League Cup now and the FA Cup has an important derby day which could be a real morale booster after a tough first 4 months or so of the season. If other clubs such as those around us remain in Europe then that balances the playing field in the league, congestion-wise (of fixtures). 4th would be massive for us 2 years in a row and then I think we get another craic at what could have been this year. That being said I'd not complain if we beat Milan... The fact that Eddie Howe has got some of the results he has in recent weeks speaks volumes to the work that's being done behind the scenes. Find it bizarre that only now are folk commenting on our missing players. If this was any other club they'd have been talking like this like 5 injuries ago...
  11. It is an absolutely lifting, arrogant chant which I fucking hate. However, I adore screaming it back at the cunts.

This is my take too. They're too hell bent on seeing us lose to see them win.

They're right weird like. Just say "it's cause we're in the second tier and have been even further down over the last 7 years" and own it. It's actually not a terrible crowd considering how shite they've been for like years.
  14. One thing having a sing song, can understand folk having a ding dong, but stabbing is just a big wrong.
  15. Twitter is just full of cunts. It just needs closing. Didn't see any Paris gannin actively looking for it in Newcastle like in those videos like. Funny how they're hard now. Rent a mob scummy wankers.
  16. I'm okay. Great reading of the game and positioning, generally, and as a result a decent tackler and organiser. Spent most my time organising defences and captaining sides. Probably not as good in the air as I should be given I'm 6ft 3. Not very technically gifted but did manage to get trials to go to America and passed those. Didn't go in the end, didn't want to go that far from home. Used to play football relentlessly though, every night for 3 or 4 hours until it was dark, for Sunday League teams, for school. Even now I'm still playing a minimum of once a week (7 a side) but occasionally 2 or 3 times. Love 7s now.

    Kieran Trippier

Kieran Trippier. ? Absolutely class act.
  18. Actually reckon Joelinton will drop into midfield to protect Miley and Willock will overlap down the line.
