He was booed off around sections of the corner, and was met with several of us telling people to fuck off home. Rightly so.

Dan Burn. Geordie. Try hard. Good defender. Old and slow. Gives it his all. If he is played when he shouldn't it's not his fault. He is me. So fuck.you if you have owt else ll to say you're a cunt. #PIssedRant

If you boo Dan Burn gan and support Sunderland. You're a fucking cunt

Our fans are embarrassing. Booing Dan Burn off man. Get in a ditch and die you moronic cunts.

Absolutely mate. We're just stirring the pot and ticking along. We'll naturally elevate we just need to be ready when the bubble does burst. It'd probably be best that we get our foundations in and the bubble bursts in 18months time once we have all our structure in place. Then we'll soar.

I hadn't considered that, but let's say that buys them an extra season, unless they offload this summer then next summer they'll be in a similar if not worse predicament potentially, because they'll either have to sell off all their monopoly of youth or sell a few big players and buy really astutely to ensure they maintain or approve. If they're hit with a points deduction they could well be fucked.
-
I reckon so like. The only thing that might stop that is your Liverpools and Man Uniteds potentially. It'll return back to a late 90s kinda playing field with a couple of replacements for your Chelsea's etc. These people deserve it though. Football needs reformation in this country, desperately. Its been too greedy for too long.

I don't get how they simply cannot be relegated along with Man City. How long can these protected species be protected like? I kna your Evertons and that will be in a similar boat but don't Man City have like 150 charges and Chelsea are losing £20m a year more than FFP on allowances even on transfer fees at present (since 2022). (Not sure if that incorporates any sales from that period.) But once wages are considered and a lack of European football again this year, and whilst they remain very inconsistent and somewhat unentertaining the won't be getting TV appearances. It's literally got to be shit or bust for them next season, surely, and if a hefty points deduction comes in mid season, they'll potentially drop like a stone. Time for those governing FFP to hit the right people with the right punishments based on Evertons 10 point deduction and the extremity of other clubs cases. I bet they don't though The irony of Todd Boehly's 'rebuild' is that they now need another, much larger one and they need to push him out of their club and get investors who will dismantle this thing from top to bottom and fix it (in my opinion).

Probably an unpopular opinion but if they made the Champions League and other European cups a more level playing field then all the European leagues would collectively improve over time and competitivity and quality would improve across those leagues where its subsiding. I appreciate it helps us and helps the English league, but never really been a fan of the too 4 or 5 from the PL going into the CL. Even using us as an example, last season we won fuck all so by definition we aren't champions. I understand awards should be won on merit, but us finishing 4th isn't the same as Bruges or PSV or Stauea Bucharest winning their respective leagues. If the money went back to those teams, they obviously improve and perhaps there'd be a bigger gulf domestically but surely that gives local folk the desire to invest in local sides in an attempt to hit those heavy heights for both sporting and financial reasons. The European Super League is a short termist load of shite that won't work. It'll seem a good idea for 3 months and everyone will bin it off. Another situation where greed is proceeding the match going fans.

Love this. I explained to a work mate last night that my Dad and his mate went to school together since 5 years old, they went to the matches together from about 10 years old, and now me and Dave's sons have been going together for 34 years, and Tom's son (Dave's Grandson) will be starting to go with us. Eventually there'll be over a century of that connection. Irreplaceable.

Would rather have Wilson.

funnily enough I seen similar in the flag chat earlier today

Dubravka is a decent keeper. I'd even go as far as saying its probably been our strongest position other than perhaps striker for my lifetime. He's needed some coaching back to a decent level and his confidence building back up and he's getting there. Pleased for him.

We've started with some momentum now in 2024 - time to build on it. Tear them apart.

Think at this stage we're looking 5th or 6th.This second half of the season we can be immense though, with a bit of luck. Just you watch.

For me they were both loved for different reasons. Keegan was an adopted Geordie who really earned his hero status by what he did at Newcastle. Robson was an actual Geordie who really earned his hero status by what he did from 'Newcastle'. You can love them both equally. I know I do. Keegan is my heart, my passion, my desire. Robson is a reminder that it is important to be gentlemanly, dedicated and respectful. Neither won owt for us but what they gave us is somewhat more important than that.

Blackburn midweek is perfect for me, I can hopefully start getting some loyalty points back, we should win and it's not too far away.

Positivity. I like it.

So glad we haven't made that mistake...yet. -
Against Man City he actually used his right foot 3 or 4 times and it ran their defence more ragged than usual. Late is better than never, but it is frustrating he's taken so long to realise this and suspect he will revert straight back to normal. Even if he uses it 2 or 3 times a game it casts the defender into doubt.
-
Huge game tonight in my opinion. Really need to start the second half of the season off on the right foot and be ruthless. I have faith (not that, that necessarily counts like )

We deserve a shit draw or two like if we get through, had horrific fixtures in cups this year.
