Nunez has only scored 6 goals this (premier league) season.

He's not as prolific as you'd expect tbf.

Shite. It's too forced and a bit pointless.

We're gonna win the FA Cup

The Buggles - Video Killed The Radio Star The single cover was a similar design except we switched out the Redness from the arms, etc for Blue. Otherwise very similar in design, and obviously previously Newcastle had a Yellow and Green away kit so utilised that rather than a neck tie. Members of the flag group have started a song in the Strawberry Corner several times and it's slowly becoming more well known, it goes as follows: Everyone needs a Fabian Schar Everyone needs a Fabian Schar Pass it near, or pass it far, His defensive skills are Wunderbar Ooooooaah Fabian Schaaaaar Oooooooaaah Fabian Schaaaar (Repeat all)

All about price re. This point. We should absolutely be developing our academy, youth set up and young players coming through by adding quality at that level, as these lads in our current situation in years to come should hopefully be able to step in, as they would be able to at City, Liverpool, etc. However, for £30m(?) I agree that's not our priority if it effectively clears out our current FFP spending capability.

Aye, we need to take that into consideration.

Yep, and aside from Man United I haven't personally seen sufficient from him yet to suggest he'd be in our first 11 any time soon. That's not to say he's a bad player as he's barely had a chance, but I feel he requires some development, which is seemingly in line with Howes comments.

It's really time for S*nderland to stop focusing on Newcastle and to start focusing on S*nderland. I'm not quite sure when it began, or if it was perhaps always this way, but they really are obsessed with us, from what I read anyway. It appears to me that they revel in our defeat as much as, or more than celebrate their own victory. They also rubbed it in with Man United when Man City won the title if I remember rightly. Which Man United fans remember, but seemingly they forgot as small flags emblazoned with both their crest and Man Uniteds appeared within the Stadium of Shite last year ahead of the final. I don't think we've ever done that and if we have then I'd embarrassed for us to do so, as frankly we all hate Man United as well as each other (S*nderland and Newcastle). To coin one of their own terms; "Step into the light", that is what they've done. They stepped into the light for half a dozen years whilst we were owned by one of our worst owners for decades, who stripped the club of its sporting identity and ran it on a shoestring so he could profiteer and advertise his own interests for little to nothing. Our net spend over his tenure can attest to that. They stepped into the light and got their infamous 6 in a row. Who can deny that? They were better on all those occasions and even a 7th when we eventually knicked a point. Aside from this period though, rarely have they "stepped into the light" with regards to our rivalry and any comparison to Newcastle as both a club or city/town for many a year. In fact they've barely looked at the light through the window, to utilise a similar analogy. They beat us in the pissing rain and Shearer missed a penalty (where they seemingly celebrate the penalty miss more than the win) and have been in a cup final during our Ashley years (if I remember correctly) which we have since mirrored, including our collective fate in said finals. Prior to that run (6 in a row) they'd not beat us on Wearside! for how long? Like 30 years? They obviously won a (significant) cup more recently than us which again we cannot deny, but as stats suggests we've collectively won more across our history than they have and we've now won more derby games (petty one to call, I know). Now our clubs are on a totally different trajectory, "We'll meet again" and "Mind the gap" are probably the two most befitting statements and whilst they've been focusing on "Beheddie Howe" and our blood money their own club has remained a shit show, where either the club has hired and fired too soon or they've simply pushed out managers who should have perhaps been shown more time l, other than for the fact they've apparently portrayed Mag-like behaviours or have shown gravy-stained tendencies. They too had a period of spending but bought shite and that's contributed to their demise. I for one think they look alright as a Championship outfit but their obsession with us and lack of unity following last weekend (see Spirit of 37 and calling out the manager/owners) will cost them and the longer they don't get back the more difficult it becomes without more investment. Next year will be what, they 8th/9th year away from the top flight? Newcastle are hitting cup finals, champions league, top 4 finishes (albeit an anomaly) and contesting for European spots now, they really do feel irrelevant and were made to feel so by a strangle hold display at the weekend. They've stepped into the light, now they can return to their overshadowed darkness for the foreseeable.

No worries. I'm not sure how many people used to sing this version as amongst my "match lads" this was the version (fellas in their 60s and us - their sons) but a lot of mates from the flags group etc. Had never heard of it and it's actually a running joke that I had made up a song but since, others have heard others sing it. So curious to know if anyone else has...?
-
I used to know a different version but it's now become a blur having used the current version more often. Was something like this though; Kosygin took a holiday he went to Budapest Kosygin took a holiday he went to Budapest Kosygin took a holiday he went to Budapest and he said to Joe Harvey... Who's that team they call United? Who's that team they all adore? Oh they play and black and white and they all know how to fight. We'll support them (you?) ever more. Bring on your hearts, your hibs your celtic, Bring on the Spaniards by the score, Barcelona, Real Madrid, they will make a gallant bid. We'll support them (you?) ever more. Nananana Nananana-naaa And there won't be many going home. (Bit fuzzy on some of the later bits but it was along those lines)

Lifting craic on there like. They'll be absolutely hell bent on giving Wor Flags pelters now that they've realised their lot aren't as good and their own fans have ruined a good thing for them. Pathetic. -
Aye, we do need to just enjoy the win like tbf.

Mad thing is everyone used to sing YNWA. Blaydon Races is specific to us and our region despite other clubs nicking the tune. Likewise Blue Moon isn't a Manchester song. So sad. Like for me I'd even sing Fog on the Tyne and things like that. They're our songs.

Was singing all the auld songs in The Junction yesterday and only one or two joined in with a lot of them. They came over at full time and shook my hand and wished me a good evening simply because the rest of the abr only ever sang we hate Sunderland and the Almiron song. Cannot decide if it’s societal or just that football has become so sanitised and obsessed with social media. Who gives a shit about folks content man, just enjoy the moment. We all take photos or short videos but I kna one thing. If we were about to be going 3 up at the Stadium of Shite I'd be ridiculing them lot not stood with me phone oot

He does but seemingly it's too difficult for folk

Besides, they'd have to get near us to kick us.
