  1. Icarus and the Pata Kid. A modern take on flying too close to the sun.
  2. Seen some right sassyness these last few days. We're mint man. Chillax peeps.
  3. Aye, I was in The Strawberry and it was a pure heart in mouth moment. Literally would have went ballistic if that went in.
  4. My agent tells me that two of the three sides are battling it out for my signature. Our demands are 1 bag if haribo tangfastics, a large bottle of volvic lemon and lime flavoured water and a win bonus of a pack of Sour Cream and Onion pringles.
  5. Are you considering a trip to Newcastle?
  6. Wasn't actually attempting to insult you tbf fella, was just having a laugh. Your post was full of attitude, just as the one above was and it made me chuckle. Settle your kettle.
  7. It was very impressive last night. Especially given the short turn around. In the UK it's a different kinda fan I think. There's less of the choreographed stuff and more just noise, generally, certainly in England. However, its become very stale and sanitised. It's difficult to get mass participation for more choreographed and ambitious displays we have found, and we have around a third of the numbers with regards to the main core of our group, but it's not so much an Ultra mentality only a fans group if that makes sense? Keen to see the Dortmund and PSG displays too, hopefully we can take something from them all and learn.
  8. @Curva Sud Milano Benvenuti! Do you know much about the Milano Ultras and how many are actively involved in preparing displays etc.? Obviously you just got beat in the local Derby a few days ago but to have prepared a display that size for last night must have taken a lot of helpers? Presumably there was also a large display at the weekend too (albeit it may have been for the Nerazzuri) so there'd have to have been a clear up from that as well. Finally, do they have a membership scheme or how do they operate to be able to put on such large scale displays? The wife's family are a mix of Milano and Inter fans. So there was mixed emotions in her family both at the weekend and last night, especially now she's married into the Geordie bianconeri too!
  9. I think what we're missing is a bit of faith. Almost like as a club we are capable of being plucky underdogs but completely uneasy at being expected to win. Permanently expecting the "Ah that's just our luck" or the "Ah that's us all over" moment, myself included. Need to change our mentality.
  10. Or should be... Fuck me. Bottom of the league almost 2 years ago. Competing with Europe's elite now.
  11. I mean not necessarily but maybe.
  12. We could have been beaten and perhaps should have been but you cannot underestimate our ability to prevent that tonight. Spirited.
  13. Think it'll develop a real shit or bust attitude in the back 3 games. We have the least to lose too. At home, I hope and half expect us to blow them away with intensity. Tonight felt a little like we'd allow them to have it to some degree. If we apply the pressure we did to say Spurs and Brighton at home last season we will beat all 3 teams at home.
  14. Also, good decision for me on choosing to train at home. Absolutely. Played down the occasion and retained focus on and off the field. We were played by the occasion at Wembley. Right move.
  15. Then your nerves are more steely than mine First half it felt like a matter of time but second half I was a lot more confident. Folk will be surprised by tonight. Journalists and fans of other clubs will reduce it to beginners luck but the reality is far different. We will grow from this.
  16. More important than tonights game vs Milan. Not as glamorous or exciting. For a top side...it's a must win...
  17. Got caught out first half tactically and second half seemingly addressed it with us looking a lot more comfortable. Seriously, folk need to remember where we (and he) has come from and take faith in where we are and he is and apply fisth into the learning process. We are stronger together. No doubts. Fuck the world. Eddie Howes Black and White Army.
  18. Looked hungry when he came on. Solid pro.

    Sean Longstaff

Take a bow. Outfield MotM tonight.
  20. If this isn't us at 100% then God fucking help the (champions) league when we do.
  21. Let's face it: Milan aren't the Milan of old. We didn't necessarily play well with regards to stamping our authority on the game. Would you really expect us to though? I mean...howay. Howe learned in 45minutes of football tonight. They had players strolling between our midfield and defensive lines and it was addressed second half. Our new weakness becoming attacking players with zero defensive positioning which ultimately showed our weakness in squad depth (with reference to higher strength in different areas). Milan lacked ruthlessness tonight. Chances didn't mean goals. Like a higher level version of Wolves at the weekend. A better version of us or a better team full stop would have snatched a 1 or 2 nil win potentially against the run of play. Bothered? Am I fuck. Pope laid the foundations with his saves to say we wouldn't be defeated. Trippier provided the level of quality and experience to provide comfort and above all else, Dan Burn and Sean Longstaff demonstrated what it meant to be playing that platform. Will either ever be world beaters, no. Not at all, but trust me it'd take a solid 8/9 out of 10 (regular) performer to oust the pair of them long term. They are absolutely our heartbeat. So if we take nothing but a point and one point from tonight. It's that our Geordie lads are who we are as a team.
  22. Honestly. I kna we didn't win, but what a fucking result. The group of deaths whipping boys...I think not. Get to fuck. Dan Burn and Sean Longstaff, repopulate Tyneside you flowers of the Goerdie blossom.
