He appears to have changed his mind again. Or he was bullshitting in the first place. I think he's had a vastly inflated price from the start and no one has come close to matching it; we've clearly not been close to being sold which is very worrying. recession or not people snap up football clubs like nobody's business these days yet we can't attract a half credible buyer for s***. We don't like Cockney wankers, why the f*** would we want investment from potential terrorists? Thank f*** they aren't interested I say. WTF? Didn't you read about the lad from Wallsend who complained to a BT call centre worker in India about his poor service? He got threatened his house would get blown up by the irate Indian. I am concerned that if we are taken over by Arabs and they cock things up, anti- semitic chants could have disastrous consequences. :omg: If there was ever a more suitable time for to be used on this forum, I haven't yet seen it.

Lets face it Skirgey boy we just ain't even good enough for this league at present. We need change and fast. Knee and jerk somewhere in that. Hardly, we've been found out in the last 3 games unless you're watching something totally different? No, I've been watching the same as you, but I know we won't be relegated. Quite amusing someone thinks we will be.

No, but I did think it was quite ironic the only thing sat next to him was a bust of a Geordie legend. if it had legs I'm sure it would have changed seats. Funniest thing I've read in a while. Thanks.

Keegan. The thought of him getting some sort of coaching off Shearer in the future is frightening.

More tripe. Your far flung location sees you detached from reality but really, there is no excuse given the power of the internet. When Keegan was appointed by fat ash the reality is that people saw him as a manager with some talent who may turn the team into a decent one and who may see us up near the top 6 or so and looking like challengers. Babbling on the way you do about Keegan being seen as a god or something merely goes to show your knowledge of the club and it's supporters is limited to what you read in the media. Love the reference to YOU SUPPORTERS by the way. That tells a story. I suggest you stick to stuff about australia and leave the Newcastle stuff to those more clued up. A rather angry and irrational response which rather confirms what macca was saying. Keegan has a status which, in many people's eyes, puts him beyond criticism. I've lost count of the number of times I've seen him described as a 'legend'. I've also found that when you criticise the man, the response is often one of moral outrage, as though you'd pissed on the steps of the Vatican rather than made an observation about a human being who is as flawed as the rest of us. Not his first though, is it? Anyone who doesn't agree with him is talking 'tripe' and anyone who lives in Australia (including myself), has to bow to his superior knowledge of all things NUFC. What a wonderful person to go for a pint before the match with Can't say I've ever noticed you. Who are you? You won't know this, but people who go to the match disagree, so disagreeing with someone is nowt to do with whether or not someone like you or your mate are in australia, it's more to do with the content of posts made, which exhibit a huge degree of ignorance....or tripe, about Newcastle United. Sorry, didn't realise that I needed to have over 100 posts to disagree with you (which we have done in the past over Shepherd). Please let us know your recognition scheme in the future. The bit in bold...you're making yourself look a bit more of a prick now, you see, I only moved to Australia in Jan this year and had been going to the matches since '82, So I know all about disagreeing, just not in your usual way of completely putting down the other persons point of view. If it's got nowt to do with macca being in Australia, why did you bring it up and use it against him? I'll not be expecting a straight answer. f***ing loon. You again. Mate, I've said nowt about 100 posts. Making stuff up is a bad sign. If you've been going to matches since 1982 and have recently moved to australia I'm sure you will agree it's much more difficult to maintain a decent grip on what is happening in Newcastle. Macca has lived in australia for years, my point is that he does not have a proper idea of "the feeling" about the club, Ashley or Keegan and it comes across in the content of his posts. His view is based on incomplete information and that is due in some measure to his location. That you find it insulting that I mention is a laugh. Are you going to claim someone on the other side of Planet Earth has the same "feel" for what is happening in Newcastle as those living there or going there on a regular basis? I've lived abroad as well, so think carefully before you reply. You lied at the top of your last post so I won't be surprised if you do so again. I'm thinking carefully and did not lie. I don't think it's hard to keep up to date. I have the internet, lots of mates who go and watch the matches. Apologies for not actually being 'there' and having the 'feeling'. You're talking tripe now. Mate, You completely misunderstand. You don't need to apologise to me for anything, let alone for not going to matches, for not being "there" and for not having the "feeling". I don't give a s**** what you think. Why are you replying then?

Not whaen they are calling each other f***ing loons and bringing up tired old debates. I come on here expecting to hear the latest on the club sale, not this crap, if you want to talk about this nonsense over and over again, start a new bloody thread or take it to PMs. There was one post where someone called another poster a loon. Other than that it's been good debate. Threads evolve you know, although your post isn't on topic either so why didn't you just PM everyone? I agree it's not on topic either, but FFS this thread is long enough as it is, stop f***ing talking about stuff that's unrelated in it. Take it to another thread, whether it's a good debate, which is highly questionable btw, or not. Yes, this thread is too long, only ITK's and Llambias should post on this now.

I gave up doing that a while ago.

I'm in Perth mate. You need to get yourself that Foxtel IQ thing, I'll be 'working from home' for a couple of hours tomorrow morning.
-
macca, not being funny mate but it's been advertised on Fox for a bit. If it's on sky you can be sure it'll be on Fox.
-
This sounds very promising. Shame he mentioned Wraith though.

The whole thing is a cosy little club and if Platini is an honest man among thieves then he'll soon be slapped down if he endangers the status quo. As someone has said the FA are equally to blame, but while Uncle Rupert is throwing his money around don't expect things to change.
-
Bit of a Gerald Ratner quote there Dave
-
it's clearly Shepherd - it's the only person they could know about as a mystery bidder. That fat twat will be desperate to get his grubby mitts back on the club, it was a money making machine for him
-
Is is really that difficult to refuse to go? They seem to have enough power when they want to go. If that ITK is true, he must know what is happening tomorrow.

forgot to say you need to wash your mouth out after that comment

hells teeth, yes we did we actually won 11 out of 11, then lost to Grimsby at home with a stupid long rang effort from a lad called Jobson or Dobson. Dave Bessent was in goal and had a canny game From the top of my head it was Jim Dobbin and it was at home as well. Also, Beasant not Bessent - overrated. I was at every match as well cp40, the best footballing memories of my life were contained in that season..... ...mackems singing where's your record gone at 1-1, then Liam'O stepped up.... Im on the famous photo of the goal ....filling half of the Peterbrough ground with about 9,000 of us in the record breaking run... watched from halway up the floodlight while Gimp was dying at the back of the stand ...Notts County away watching a lad take 5 steps at a time, hurdle the ad hoarding and jump into Peacock's arms after his goal (one of our most underrated players ever, was wor Gav)... just an absolutly brilliant away day, . ....dodge a good kicking at Miwawl..and somgside in the CC Cup.... My lass at the tiime got bitten by a police dog at the tube station ....watching the Anglo-Italian cup game at Grimsby eating fish and chips on the terrace with literally another 20 people and offering giving Quinny a chip when he scored... ...being first in the queue and camping overnight for FA cup Blackburn ticket (spoke to John Hall who came to see us and KK) was sitting outside the east stand with deck chairs + cans when the pubs emptied and mayhem ensued, looked like Deck chair hell the next morning, skips full of smashed chairs, quite funny. ...returning to Grimsby on that Tuesday night to watch us win it... great memories, on the pitch with my 30ft CHAMPIONS banner and THAT Leicester game (revenge for the disgraceful scenes down at Filbert St the season before which Bill Borrows the f***ing t*** blamed us for, Man City supporting cock end)...at which, I believe the Andy Cole made it's full debut. 6-0 at half time man, we were a good side . That was a complete one off, memories that could not be recreated - any young'uns reading this create your memories and treasure them, I was 16 then and loved it. I would have been 25, and it was my last season as a free man, moved in with my pregnant lass during the first season in the Prem...life would never be the same again, great days. Shame I'm in Australia or I would have asked to meet for a pint as the lads I spent that time with don't get to the matches any more. I've still got one of the lightbulbs from The Baseball ground from the 4-1 defeat in the nearly relegation season and Clarkies shirt when he threw it into the crowd against Leicester. Had some good times after that, but you're right once the missus and kids come along, things change....

To the point of attacking coppers ? Thats just plain moronic and thuggish. Obviously. But it happens, every club has fans like that, ours probably more so. Like this bloke? http://seatondelaval.journallive.co.uk/news/keithbarrett.jpg
