  1. how about mutual attraction, fun, pleasure, love... You've got some serious issues in your view of women lad.
  2. I was referring to the suggestion that we're not targeting a CM. In relation to the hypothetical scenario, I'd be more gutted if we missed out on Paqueta, so I'd take Paqueta.
  3. And Eriksen, and Tielemans. That creative midfield position definitely seems to be one that we are after if those links were correct.
  4. Surprisingly given their obviously genuine interest in the plight of the Yemeni people, human rights violations by Saudi Arabia and the murder of Jamal Khashoggi, after doing a few searches there doesn't seem to have been a single mention of any of those things on rtg before news broke that a consortium including PIF were trying to buy us in January 2020. Whereas we've had a thread dedicated to condemning Saudi Arabia's actions since 2015. I'm deeply uncomfortable with aspects of being owned by Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund (my wife and I have had monthly direct debit donation to Amnesty International set up for over a decade, I doubt many on rtg can say that) but it's morally repugnant to be using human rights abuses purely for point scoring in a local football rivalry when it's clear they had no interest in them before.
  5. He was in my sister's form class at Heaton Manor, nicked her Swatch the little cunt.
  6. Because revenue will go up whatever, but to maximise that and be able to attract the players to push on, and keep hold of the likes of Bruno and Botman, we need to be competing to get into Europe in the short term.
  7. Everton's issue is that they have spent money without really increasing their revenue. Our revenue is going to increase dramatically, our current financial position is not what it will be in three years. The higher up the table we can get in the short term the more we will be able to increase our revenue, because what is a fair market value sponsorship deal for a team in the top 6 will be vastly different to a bottom half team. So there is good reason to suspect that we will spend beyond what would be currently sustainable under ffp in this window.
  8. Because he's supported his homophobic international teammate. Although obviously our owners don't have a great record there, that's probably not the sort of publicity they want.
  9. Sorry to bring it to your attention but Mandy is a massive tory too.
  10. I don't think it's unusual for players to be loaned out with only a proportion of their wages paid or for the selling club to subsidise the player's wage. I doubt that would be a major problem. We're probably just in the process of negotiation or waiting for other deals to go through first. There will be ways to move those players on rather than just having them sit their contracts out outside of the squad.
  11. As little as he offers I suppose there's a risk in moving him on before we get in any new forward players.
  12. I don't think it would, might even reduce it.
  13. Haven't seen him other than some youtube scouting, but he looks amazing, rapid, good finisher and completely two footed. He'll do for me.
  14. You seem to be unnecessarily angry because there is no current indication at all that a) the club are planning to build a new stadium on Castle Leazes, or anywhere else, or b) that the council or Freemen would be against it if they were to.
  15. You seem to be quite an angry fella. The club don't own the land St. James' Park is on, the council do. Anyway, getting agreement from the Freemen to use the Castle Leazes site wasn't an issue in 1997 and iirc @LFEE suggested that it probably wouldn't be if we were to propose to build a new stadium there again. The issue in 1997 wasn't the Freemen, the council or Dolly Potter, the council were probably going to approve it but it because clear that the final decision would have been called-in by the government for a public inquiry due to English Heritage objecting to the impact on Leazes Park. John Hall then spat his dummy and withdrew the application rather than seeing the public inquiry through.
  16. Newcastle 3 West Ham 0 in 1996 has always stood out as a great game for me, peak Keegan, possibly the most dominant performance I've ever seen, it easily could've been 13 - 0 but for Les Sealey.
  17. I did, although others might have too. From rough measurements on Google Earth it would result in a stand the height of the Leazes 12m from Leazes Terrace, there's precisely 0% chance of that being acceptable both in terms of heritage or residential amenity impacts.
  18. I don't see how that helps from a FPP point of view. FFP is calculated over three years, if anything from a FFP point of view we'd want the first chunk of his fee in the previous year because it would be gone from the calculation a year sooner.
  19. It's based on when the individual club's accounts run from. Our accounts do run from 1st July.
  20. It will have been signed-off by the PL.
  21. I'm not sure that is correct, infrastructure, community, youth & women's football spending still seem to be excluded from the FFP calculation by Annex J.4 of the new regulations. But I've only briefly looked at it and a lot of it goes over my head, so might be completely wrong. https://editorial.uefa.com/resources/0274-14dc03ef33b9-3e2caa872860-1000/20220408_club_licensing_and_financial_sustainability_regulations_2022-en.pdf
  22. Which also ties in with the theory that it's Andy Carroll
  23. I had a similar experience at about 16, the bloke made a comment about "standing the requisite distance back" while serving me Then sold me some shite 70s softcoreified porn that bore no relation to what was on the cover.
