What a game, cmon blackpool, passion over finesse loyal!
-
1-0, well all I can say is a wins a win!
-
He has went backwards, mainly due to injury but also with the aid of walter smiths assurance that there wil be no creativity to be seen at ibrox, ever!
-
Fook me I'm an avid rangers fan but we are getting way too hard to watch, can't help but flick over to the blackpool game. Re jelavic, can't see us holding onto him for too long, and would obviously love the toon to go in for him if he was to move. The state of rangers finances, takeover or not, would mean he could go for about 5mil max, dirty cheap for a25 year old croatian international who really looks the biz
-
Coleman sleeping with parker?
-
First time I've had agood look at ba, very impressed. Great touch, good in air, not afraid to shoot& excellent movement, why were we not in for him, considering age & price!
-
elmander= 6months of goodness in prem; £3mil carroll= 6 months of goodness in prem; £35 mil. Although not ideal, if the 3mil is true im much happier for this short term signing over someone like Carlton Cole or Danny Graham! Also think Wickham would soften the blow, plus why not throw 11 mil at saints for chamberlain, its gonna be more than that in summer for him
-
great shout with bradley, cant believe noone has come in for him yet and if he cost anything under 5 mil would be a super signing
-
Charlie Adam central to all things good for blackpool last night again, ffs pards get him in an quit fannying around with right wingers!
-
Charlie Adam linked with brum and blackburn for 2mil, howay pards get on that! If we tied up ben arfa, got larsson and adam combined for 3.5 mil, brought in a striker and got rid of smith only, t'would be the perfect window imo
-
lazy comparison to make and totally disagree. Although a central midfield of adam and nolan would be slow, he would be a first class central midfield addition to the squad. His fitness and workrate have vastly improved since his rangers days and his delivery and vision is top drawer. I have watched him develop since his rangers days, where I really didnt rate him, and feel he would be an ideal signing for us. We need added quality in the centre for squad depth and with someone like tiote behind him, he would thrive. Plus, bonus if his contract is up soon!

I keep reading charlie adams name popping up in this thread and others, is this a real link or is it just based off pards comments that bargains are to be found in lower leagues a la adam? Although lacking pace, would be a great signing imo. I would rather put the money into someone like him than bentley

The worst players in the Premiership this season, so far
wrightstuff83 replied to Ishmael's topic in Football
People are conned by journalists and comentators, man. It's sad, but prevalent. Are you saying that the media are on Balotellis back and therefore dictating my opinion of him? I thought this thread was about worst players in the premso far this season? If so then surely general ability should not over compensate for poor performances? -
Yeah been building my cv up nicely and am determined to get a break somewhere decent. it would be hard upping sticks, selling the house, possible separation, but for the right career move I suppose it wouldnt be a problem! Considered USA before I went to uni but went for the education and stuck with the degree, since then I never really had the time to think about it. Ive often had a wee troll through L1, championship club websites but there never seems to be much out there, I guess this website is worth signing up for then for definite, could be ideal.

For me ballotelli has been very poor. Yes he has scored some goals, but most have been in the europa cup, and his double against west brom finished with his sending off! As I am not a follower of italian football I am judging him not on potential or his reputation, rather on what i hve seen in a city shirt. Particularly watched him the other night v Everton and he was awful, booked again then got away with a shocking kick on Jagielka, missed chanes, shot from distance and generally pranced around in his gloves and snood like he didnt want to be there, ten i read him in the paper the next day stating only Messi is better than him! -
Nice one mate cheers. Been a full time schools coach for three years now which i fun but its not 'proper' coaching as its mainly primary schools, more fundamentals. i really want to move into full time coaching at a club now. Im currently U18 manager of my local club, moved there this year from the acadmey of the biggest club in Northern Ireland, Linfield. Got a taste for the coaching on the mainland last year when we toured the North West and then won the Tesco Cup in the Reebok! Coaching jobs are really scarce over here, just wondering how to make moves on the mainland, seems to be difficult enough over there too?

Mauro Boselli and Mario Ballotelli -
wow, as a full time football coach, this is just a dream job! Unfortunetly I wont be appllying as I've only got my UEFA B, not due to go for A until next summer. That really is the sort of job I'd sell the house and move for, will be interesting to see who gets it. Btw, are there many jobs that come available on that website? Im currently working for the Irish Football Association but really fancy a change

Neither really excite me but just happy pardew got his first choice men in
-
don't worry you won't be included in any protest way up there on your pedastol!

FYP TBF, only Jose Enrique and Andy Carroll are irreplaceable, the rest of them can go at the right price. Obviously there are some you'd like to keep but for example rumours suggest Liverpool are after Jonas for £8m... ..who wouldn't take that? Now could be a good time for a fire-sale. Shake your heed man, we wouldn't be where we are without these players they have got us here not ashley or pardrew. We have a super thin squad and people are happy to see ?millions feed into ashley and not the squad from outgoing sales Do you think we will spend 50% of the money we get from sales ? Same players who took us down as well. They weren't good enough then and aren't now if were honest and why people fear relegation again. Getting Barton off the wage bill isn't top priority for me, like I said Smith needs to be first out of the door, but there are players on our books who's wages don't match their ability, Barton is one of them. Yeah i agree with that, but to say we religated because of the players is mad (it was part there fault). We got religated because Ashley gambled and it blew up in his face. Hughton and the very same players got us up with a 102 points, undefeated at home all season. They have taken us on to some great win this season against good sides. BTW i agree about smith but he aint gong anywhere until his contract is up Say for a second we buy in to Ashley's dream of running us on the cheap and what the club makes we can spend (no initial outlay) then offers for our highest earners are going to be tempting. Once they are gone the club has more money to operate in the market and the sooner they are gone the more money long term. Barton isn't irreplaceable imo, Colo out of the high earners is the one where it splits me, but before this season started i'd have taken anything north of £5m for him (and I still think he's a £40k defender at best rather than the £80k we pay him) We have to face facts about what's happening, and really I'd rather see players like Barton, Smith and Nolan sold to balance the books than a big bid for Andy Carroll, a player we can build a team around and represents some hope for a future for us. I also believe Ashley wont gamble again with relegation. I do think we'll get some funds regardless of sales because by the time this month has ended we'll be right down there with the worst, one or two well placed signings and it changes for us. No one likes Ashley, no one wants to see the club sell top players or operate a sell to buy policy but right now its happening, and we really just have to hope Pardew and Ashley don't take the easy option in selling Carroll to finance a rebuild, but get the top earners and those not good enough (Perch, Best & Xisco) out of the door first and build around our strengths. It's a big ask, but its the only hope I've got that we'll see light at the end of all this, and for now I'm gonna stick with it. I've gone through it all this week, I'm sure everyone has, hate, disgust, fear, apathy, let's hope for a bit Ashley does have a plan and it starts now, his job is to get the club fully financially stable and dependant while having a team worthy of the prem on the pitch then someone who has ambition to restore us in full decides to take us off his hands and we can get back to being at the top again. top post re how replaceable barton is, but disagree with the ashley views man, he definetly will risk relegation and definetly hasnt a great plan we should buy in to. But again, nail on head with regards barton to me, vastly overrated on here and for the right price would be agood move to sellwhen his stock is high (seriously 1good half season, where he stil managed to randomly punch a player and pick up a suspension which has ultimately aided the dismissal of hughton)
