  1. Lerl, you're backing up Pardew - a man who has inflicted the three most painful performances on home fans in decades. A man who head butts opposition players and brings shame on the club, a man who tries to belittle you (and your fellow nufc fans at every turn), you're supporting him. What a maggot. Tell me the point in trying to twist every harmless comment he makes he's a highly paid professional () football manager, a role in which a huge part of his position is getting results and explaining himself to thousands of paying customers each week exactly why shouldn't the f***ing drivel coming out of his mouth be subject to analysis and ridicule when it's as stupid as it is? There is a line between analysis and overanalysing. Some people are seeing things that aren't there to support an agenda
  2. Pardew clearly feels Aarons will be best used as a sub in this game with his pace and skill against tired defenders. A good call, for me.

  4. So why does he have to mention it then? Most bland managerial interviews are bland, I think it's refreshing to see someone try to inject humour into things for a change. If Jurgen Klopp said the same thing everyone would be finding it hilarious
  5. Yawn, people just using any excuse to have a pop at Pardew. The IKEA comparison was obviously tongue in cheek. If there's footage he's probably laughing all the way through it
  6. Name me the term you would use to describe the first manager to win the club a major trophy since 1969
  7. I want him gone no matter what he does...Pleased that the team wins over all but my enjoyment of NUFC as at an all time low. Beat Spurs in the Capital One Cup and a lot of tunes will be changed on that mantra. Everyone would be buzzing for the semi final
  8. I swear people on this forum are almost happy when NUFC lose just to spite Pardew What if Pardew wins the next ten games? I wonder how people on here will complain. 'Grrrr we're not winning every match 5-0' ?
  9. Love him or loathe him, Pardew becomes a club legend if NUFC win the Capital One Cup
  10. Liverpool can't score goals, signed ordinary players and are in average form. Home win, nailed on
  11. I am pretty confident NUFC will beat Liverpool at home next week and then a good chance of beating an ordinary West Brom the following week Pardew is going absolutely nowhere
  12. Is Pardew a club legend if NUFC win the Capital One Cup?
  13. Okay, let's make things interesting. What would constitute Pardew failing in your eyes? Not in Ashley's eyes, in your's. Being amongst those in contention for the drop. The situation 2 years ago was forgivable because of a paper thin squad riddled with injuries and a lengthy European run but wouldn't be now. With the likes of Villa, West Brom, Sunderland, Burnley and Palace not pulling up any trees in the transfer market, it would be significant underachievement to be near the bottom.
  14. I don't know what people expect from Pardew? Ignoring his off the pitch antics, he hasn't actually done that bad a job really 11/12: 5th place out of nowhere 12/13: Europa League QFs with a thin squad picking up countless injuries 13/14: Top 10 finish last season while having his best player Cabaye sold and not replaced But that doesn't go down well because the reality of NUFC not having the resources to compete is so depressing. If you want to blame someone, blame Ashley for not freeing up more funds. Blame Kinnear for being useless. Blame the marketing team for not being able to secure more lucrative sponsorships to compete with the big boys. Pardew, while not perfect, has done what is expected of him in my eyes

    Sunderland

Hell of a fee for someone who didn't score that many and when he did 90% were penalties
  16. Saw a post on RTG that he is the 'crispest passer in the Sunderland squad'. We could do with someone with good distribution skills
  17. Interesting post on RTG - sounds like some people on here might be underrating Colback
  18. Mackems seem to rate him. Apparently not a spectacular player but one that consistently has a decent game http://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/colback-away.921385/page-5
  19. It has taken a while but we have started to develop a working system for a game-plan that isn't dependent on Cabaye
  20. Great in-depth article on Grenier here Warning: it's very long http://www.getfootballnewsfrance.com/2013/prospect-clement-grenier/

    Alan Pardew

Go down to the basement and sleep! Ah, I can see it now after we've won 10 in a row 'Why is Pardew such a negative wanker, I hate winning by 1 goal the whole time' FFS man who cares how we win as long as we get the job done. Pardew got the job done (again)

    Alan Pardew

Jesus Christ we have just won for the 3rd game running, how about cutting Pards some slack ffs?

    Sunderland

They complained about MoNg putting 10 men behind the ball every game but he looks vindicated in doing it really judging by their defensive performances now

    Sunderland

Wonder if he will repeat the trick and leave a 'surprise' in the away dressing room for the derby

    Sunderland

Poyet taking over would produce some ready-made gags
