  1. I'd written off Kolo Muani due to his wages. If they're within reach, he'd be a great option. Can play wide too.
  2. £60m for Jackson is a better deal than Wissa for £40m IMO.
  3. It's in Chelsea's interest to sell though, and they're unlikely to get a higher fee than now if hold onto Jackson beyond the summer.
  4. You mean the summer where we also sold Sissoko, Wijnaldum, Townsend et al for well over £60m?
  5. I actually think he'd be a good fit for us. But it should be a complete non-starter if he's replacing Isak or priced at anything above £50m.
  6. Jackson to replace Isak would be a shambles of a move for the money that Chelsea would want. If he's the Wilson replacement instead of Wissa however, I'd be more onboard depending on the fee.
  7. Wissa and Thiaw (or another CB) and we look much better. With the money saved on Ramsdale and Thiaw versus top targets, we should have decent headroom for a CM. The window's been a disappointment and somewhat humiliating to be frank, but the above would be solid enough and raises the floor of the squad pretty significantly still, while giving us room to bolster again in January. It's worth noting that the amount of spend we've seen from 5 of the Cartel 6 this window has been unprecedented; I can't see this carrying over into the next couple of windows. God help us if it does

    Malick Thiaw

Sounds like a goer - us being as desperate as we are and Milan willing to sell. At least the price should be reasonable.
  9. Chuck in an extra £5m to sweet the deal. I don't care if it doesn't make sense at this point
  10. Not the only ones putting up with this lowball bullshit from the Big 6 seemingly: https://x.com/HLTCO/status/1951030722623578133?t=Hgzc49C5V-G699JI-3Hvag&s=19
  11. I just find the timing of the whole thing makes little sense. Liverpool have signed Ekitike, most other clubs have blown their load by this point, we're more hard-pressed than ever to find a replacement as the market's contracted...why didn't he do this at the start of the window, particularly if he decided this would be his last season well in advance?
  12. Actually think I'd rather go for Chalobah than Thiaw again at this point.
  13. Chalobah would be a great, if unflashy, buy. Premier League-proven, can play RB or in a back 3, probably available at a good price and only 26. Perhaps a sign of how expectations are falling as this window continues to drag but we could do a lot worse.
  14. Pope is a great sweeper, but he's also wank with the ball at his feet. The two aren't mutually exclusive and, ideally, we need to move towards a keeper who can do both well.
  15. I rate Wissa but he's expensive and less versatile than Pedro/Ekitike. If Isak's staying, I think we have more license to take a punt on someone from overseas for less and throw more money at a CB.
  16. We should be all over this. Young, big ceiling and so versatile.
  17. Agree with what others are saying - keep Isak, drive the Ekitike fee up and let Liverpool pay a premium for their second choice. For all the media chat about a Liverpool power play, I think we actually have a fair amount of leverage.
  18. I think our Ekitike bid has caught Liverpool off guard and the Isak approach is a flex or sorts to put us back in our box. I back Isak to stay but can't see Ekitike choosing us over Liverpool when they inevitably take their shot.
  19. Thought Gallagher was older than 25. He'd be a huge upgrade on Longstaff; 35m is a good price also.
  20. I'm positive I saw £30m quoted a few weeks' back but can't find anything. Latest price mentioned is £50m but I think Forest will be wanting more than that for Elanga still.
  21. Honestly, just move for Madueke. Apparently available for £30m or so.
  22. Question marks about attitude and consistency but I think he'd be a good fit. £30m is a good price as well and probably significantly cheaper than what Elanga would go for.
  23. What was Rice doing there? Left Dembele to press the ball completely needlessly.
  24. Been a lurker on this forum since around 2007/2008 and it's been a ride since then to say the least love and kudos to you all - it's been a long, long time coming for one of the best communities in football👍
