I think it's a bit disingenuous to discount that incident from your thinking. They were literally an inch away from scoring on what must have been their first attack, offside or not offside. It paints a different picture of the game prior to the goal than the one you're giving.
-
Didn't TAA have a goal disallowed for a marginal offside prior to the first goal?
-
You think Brighton are a much better side than Spurs?
-
He was unlucky with that curling effort in the first half too. Inches wide, and should've had another had Isak got his head up.
-
Eales, Mitchell and Howe should do a three-way press conference, Q&A or something - show that everyone's on the same page (which, by the way, I think they ultimately are - Howe's been way more diplomatic than Benitez would've been) and put all the tabloid gossip to bed. Would be an obvious olive branch to the fans also.

Krafth obviously has his limitations but I think he's been fine for the most part in the last couple of games. I do think Schar's return will make a big difference though.

Bad miscalculation on Guehi but am hopeful we'll have a more comprehensive list of targets and a measured plan of attach for Jan. Frankly, it can't get any worse
-
This is it, I think. Taken too long to pivot from Guehi and have been left looking desperate and rudderless.
-
Feels like a bit of an odd move after Guehi and the whole 'perfect or nothing' mantra that the club seems to be pushing - Elanga doesn't seem like someone who's going to nail down the RW spot for years to come. Not against it though - he's an improvement on what we have and can play both sides.
-
I hope we don't deal with Palace again any time soon tbh
-
Honestly, I'd just sign him permanently at this point. £25m for a versatile, PL-ready CB at a good age is a bit of a no-brainer for me.
-
I think the point around PSR is that we cab no longer afford to sign duds that we have to shift at a loss after a season or two. Signings have to be near enough a perfect fit to maximize value; PL experience falls into that 'fit', which invariably drives the price up.
-
Inclined to agree. I think Guehi is a Howe target; Mitchell has simply done his best to strike a deal. I have no doubt that Mitchell has other CB profiles up his sleeve but whether they're targets that Howe wants to pursue is another question.

How much is Ugarte signing for?

Gordon looked much more like his usual self.

He's been good to be fair.

Forest bringing their starters on now.

Barnes has looked sharp IMO.
