  1. That first touch pass from Tonali to Barnes was so deft.

Worth mentioning that, by digging their heels for so long, Palace have 3 days to secure a replacement if this goes through. Cutting nose to spite face comes to mind; they're also yet to replace Andersen.
  3. I did. I think Hall would've been targeted way more than Kelly though.

I wonder if this has been agreed and Palace have asked for it to be confirmed next week so he can play today.
  5. We were linked with Disasi before he signed for Chelsea so could be a long term target. Can also play RB, but would prefer Chalobah out of the two. Tapsoba doesn't seem realistic.
  6. Both players were at fault and should've received the same punishment IMO. Straight red for Schar was fair; Diaz should've had two yellows - one for the barge and another for the playacting.
  7. Arsenal maybe. They lack decent cover for Saka.

The way this is playing out is so weird - I've never heard of a bid reported as 'set to be rejected' before. Wonder if our last bid was final and Palace are pushing their luck.
  9. Odobert from Burnley to Spurs.
  10. I like Gallagher - and he'd be a vast improvement on Longstaff - but another CM can't be a priority ahead of CB or RW, particularly with Tonali back soon. Longstaff has his limitations as a starter but he's solid as a squad option.

Chalobah is becoming more and more appealing as an alternative by the day, with the added bonus of being able to cover RB. Getting him in for £25m or so now gives us more room to go big on a RW and we can always revisit the CB question next summer, with Schar possibly leaving at that stage.
  12. Shades of the final vs Italy here. Great start, opposition manager makes a couple of tweaks, Southgate does nothing as the opposition inevitably come back into the game.
  13. He's not comparable to the likes of Hendrick or Fraser to be fair!
  14. It's not just his notice period to be fair. Part the gardening leave will be a non-compete period.
  15. I know the link is a couple of days old but Iheanacho would be a smart piece of business on a free. Hardly gets the pulse racing but is PL-proven, can play on the right and is still only 26. If Wilson goes, I'd still want us to sign another forward however, and a first team level RW regardless.
  16. Spent £72m on Nicolas Pepe a few years ago, lest we forget. Aubameyang, Lacazette also both around the £50m mark. It's not as sustained as Man City or Chelsea but they do have form for forking out.
  17. There were some rumours in January that Malen was for sale. Would also be a good shout for a versatile forward and wouldn't be too expensive.
  18. He'll have time to add those parts to his game though, and would be playing second fiddle to Pope in the short term anyway while he develops. Would rather go for Trafford than Mamardashvilli or Ramsdale if it frees up more funds for a right winger, which should be the priority IMO.
  19. Think Trafford would be a smart buy at the right price. 21 is absolutely no age for a keeper with PL experience.
