Agree, Holloway's comments were a disgrace.

Fucking hell lads, its the FA Cup, I wouldn't mind winning it and I certainly don't want to risk an upset by playing the kids.
-
That miss just summed up his complacency. Hopefully its a kick up the arse.
-
Harper 6 - Nowt to do. Simpson 7 - Rarely troubled Coloccini 8 - Brilliant as always. Taylor 6 - Looked fine but must have picked up a knock. Enrique 8 - Top class. Barton 9 - Superb, perfect delivery almost every time. Tiote 8 - Bossed the midfield. Nolan 8 - Set up one, scored one, should have set up another if not for Ranger's horrible miss. Jonas 6 - Meh. Lovenkrands 8 - Involved a few goals, a good week for him. Best 9 - The defence was awful, but he slammed home a great hat-rick. Williamson 6 - Rarely had anything to do. Ranger 4 - f***ing hell, what an awful miss. Ferguson 6 - Got involved in the attack, should have been involved in a goal if not for Ranger Great performance, but my god West Ham are uber s***. Glad Best and Lovenkrands did well after all the pathetic posts before the game asking how we were gonna score. Have some faith in the team and how s*** some of the bottom sides are ffs.

Isn't Barton suspended after getting booked today?
-
Harper 7 - Made 1 save that he was called upon to make. Simpson 7 - Becoming really impressed with this lad. Another solid display. Taylor 7 - Decent display aside from his hairy moment with the handball. Should have scored. Colo 8 - Another cracking display and what a goal he almost scored. Enrique 7 - Nothing spectacular, but we're so much better with him in the team. Solid defensively and gives us a lot going forward. Barton 8 - Delivery was top class, should never have been booked. Nolan 6 - Didn't see a lot from him today, but you can see the influence he has on the side from a leadership standpoint. Tiote 9 - Top class. Shame those pricks on MOTD only focused on his playacting. Signing of the season, won everything once again. Jonas 6 - Argh Jonas man, full of running but really should have scored when one on one with keeper. Decent display. Ameobi 7 - Missed a sitter, right place at right time for the tap in. Lead the line really well, linked well with Lovenkrands. Lovenkrands 6 - Got in decent positions with his movement and did well with the assist. Routledge 5 - Tore whoever their fullback was a new arsehole but still no final ball. Best 5 - This guy is never going to score a fucking goal if he can't put those chances away. Smith 5 - One very good tackle, not much else. Pardew 8 - Got it spot on up front which was the main conundrum. Rest of the team picked itself, Wigan didn't really create much for the keeper change to really make a difference. Did well using the squad and packing the midfield to see the game out. Good, scrappy win. Another on Wednesday and we're well on our way.

Off to Crystal Palace is the rumour. Odds have fallen dramatically.

can chelseas reserves be classed as this level ?...if not they wont be far off. Good shout.
-
Probably because it was 8 years ago, and he's never come close to reproducing it since. Largely because he's spent half his time injured or behind Shearer, Owen, Martins, Viduka etc. The guy has never really had a chance but has scored some important goals for us over the years. Btw Shola's last brace in open play at Prem level that I can remember was against the Mackems 3-2 under Souness. Could be wrong though.
-
Ameobi is miles ahead of Carlton Cole. Shola can actually head the ball well and is a good finisher on his day, only thing Cole has on Shola is pace. Shola gets far too much stick on here, he's a decent player who has seen his career riddled by injury. People say he was shit from the start but that is absolute bollocks, I remember a young Shola and Lomana Lua Lua tearing apart Bayer Leverkusen on their own patch. Too many with short memories on here.

Watch him come off the bench tomorrow and score -
We'd be daft not to take him if we have the chance. After Carroll only Shola and Ranger are half decent. Lovenkrands and Best are championship players and Xisco well he never gets a game so why is he here?

Yeah I noticed that not long after

4 out of those 7 have been Chelsea, Liverpool, Man City and Tottenham.
-
Sunderland are not in any trouble at all. They have 30 points already. This, they might even make Europe (shudder)

As we are all well aware of, the relegation picture is incredibly crowded. I just wondered who people think actually will end up in the thick of it, as some teams will breakaway as the season wears on. Currently everyone from maybe Stoke downwards is in a scrap. Here are my thoughts: Safe Stoke - Home form is again going to save them. Not the most attractive football, but it works. Liverpool - Unfortunately, they ain't going nowhere. Roy if he stays will guide them to midtable but not much else. If they get someone better in they'll make Europe. In a fight but probably safe Blackpool - They are still due a bad spell, and it will come, but Holloway has enough to guide them through it. The equivalent of Hull in their first season. Newcastle - This could change if we don't get at least 1 win from our next two, but we'll survive. If we do sign a striker that will help us massively and having Ben Arfa back earlier than expected could prove vital in the final run in. Goal difference is also very strong compared to the others. Aston Villa - A bit dubious considering their current position. But they surely have enough to stay up, though those words have been said before. Due a good run. West Brom - Defence is becoming an issue, but I rate Di Matteo and they will finally stay up playing good football. In big trouble Everton - Again, their league position and GD says otherwise but a side with continued lack of investment and no real proven strikers can not continue to prosper, I'm a Moyes fan but they're in a scrap. The other dross will save them though, just about. Wigan - Nothing much in the way of creativity apart from N'zogbia and Rodallega. A difficult one to figure out, they're goal difference is a big problem for them. Birmingham - Think they'll scrape survival. Was always going to be difficult to do as well as they did last year, but their defence is a lot better than some of the teams around them. Fulham - Really not sure about this lot, they're on the brink, struggling to score and shipping goals at home to West Ham doesn't bode well. Really don't rate Hughes. Probably between them and Wigan for 18th. Going Down West Ham - Don't let recent results fool you, they're s**** and will go down. Crap defence, poor goalkeeper and not much going forward apart from Parker, Obinna and Cole. I like Grant and he deserves a better job but he won't keep them up. Wolves - They're f***ing s****. Again don't let the Liverpool result deceive you, this lot will be the first to go. If we don't rape these 3 or 4 at SJP I'll be annoyed. Thoughts??
