Goal difference wiped out, fucking brilliant. Carroll only one that comes away with any credit.

These commentators man, fucking hell they're embarrassing

More dropped points at home, but we need to have a bit of perspective. We're still in the top half of the table, which had you offered me at the start of the year I'd have snapped your hand off, West Ham and Wolves look absolutely abysmal and are already starting to get cut adrift, and our points total for this time of the year for a team only realistically looking to stay up, is pretty good. We're half way to 36 points which will probably keep us up. Anything above 20 points at christmas is fantastic for a newly promoted team and I believe we'll pick up a few more wins before christmas no problem. Its also a testament to how much we've improved that we know damn well we would have lost that game a few years ago. The defence held firm and we had a few decent chances. Not a great performance but far from our worst. 1 defeat in 5 games. Still a good spell, onwards and upwards!

I really can't stand Clint Dempsey, such a cunt.

They're really spoiling it now.

It appears I've been watching a different game to everyone else. We've been alright nothing special, but neither have Fulham.

How the f*** can Japan be a guest in a south american football tournament? I know they invite different teams all the time, but it just doesn't look right at all.

Rubbish. Johnson is far better defensively and not even in the same galaxy going forward. On paper, yes, but he's been shite all season.

I'm being generous after that performance. Krul 8 - Commanded his area, a great stop from Nasri, but wasn't overly tested. Simpson 9 - Best game of his career for us, made some cracking tackles. Williamson 9 - Didn't put a foot wrong. Colo 9 - Love the guy. Turning into an accomplished Premier League centre half. Enrique 10 - Yes, 10. Had Walcott in his back pocket today. Study him a lot and he does everything right as a full back. Literally everything. Barton 7 - Didn't offer too much, but battled hard and created the goal. Tiote 10 - Another 10. Running out of superlatives, bossed the midfield and stopped the likes of Fabregas and Arshavin from creating anything of note. Nolan 6 - Much like Barton didn't do much but his leadership and effort is of clear value. Jonas 6 - Didn't let their full backs bomb on and never stopped running. Not much end prodcut though. Shola 7 - Did a very good job playing two roles, helping pack the midfield and supporting Carroll. Carroll 8 - Caused them problems all day and did very well to beat the keeper for the goal. Ranger 6 - Did well to get the wrong side of their centre back to draw the red card.

Carroll seems to thrive on stuff like this though. Remember Barton's quotes after Villa saying they have a notice board in the dressing room with all the negative quotes and articles pinned up. Do you think this one will be pinned up tomorrow like? Aye, Carroll is a reet show off like. ---- How QBG change your av, you ain't CaliMag. Mine's the original flag, his is dyed black. Can't you tell the difference? Aye but they're far too similar for a simple brain like mine. Use this instead... http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/c/c6/Chimney_of_the_Black_Dyke_Mills%2C_Queensbury.jpg/800px-Chimney_of_the_Black_Dyke_Mills%2C_Queensbury.jpg I wasn't even aware images of my village were on the internet

I'd seriously laugh if someone bombed theirs and the Sun's offices, utter set of c***s. Sum up everything that's wrong with this country. Agree 100% it says it all about the population of this country that these two rags that I wouldn't use to wipe my arse are among the highest selling papers in the country.

Really makes my blood boil that I'm doing a degree where they teach us standards and ethics in journalism and this lot write whatever the hell they want at an extremely sub-standard level and it passes for journalism. Horrible, horrible cunts.

Yep but a decent day for us in the end.

s*** league. f***ing pointless waste of f***ing time, I hate it when anyone mentions any score from the SPL that isn't Ranger vs Celtic, and that kind of the result is the reason. Really is the worst league in the world.

Celtic 8-0 Aberdeen

Really should have beaten Blackpool and Stoke like.

Very kind of you (they're partners with Spurs)! Aye, didn't let it put me off I just support because their nearest to the Bay Area, which gets the majority of my support when it comes to American sports.

Went to the Liverpool-Napoli game tonight as press, free food, cracking view and my first ever mixed zone (where the players come through and we journos stick microphones under their mouths). Liverpool still remain the luckiest bastards on the planet, completely outplayed in the first half, really like the look of Lavezzi. Second half Napoli stopped playing, sat back and payed the price as Liverpool got their traditional ridiculous luck, stupid pass back, penalty and a very good goal by Gerrard. In the mixed zone, Woy was talking to LFC.tv so recorded a lot of him on my blackberry, Gerrard had pre-arranged interviews so walked right to the end of the line. Glen Johnson didn't bother to talk to anyone, Poulsen went straight to the sole Danish reporter, only one who really bothered was Lucas Leiva who is, without doubt, the most boring man on the planet.

Leeds (a) 96/97 1-0 win (shearer) - Simply because it was my first game and I was 6, in the Leeds end with my Toon shirt on and my Mam jumped up when we scored Bayer Leverkusen (h) 02/03 3-1 win (Shearer hatrick) - Only ever CL game I've been to. Shearer hatrick in the first half in front of the Leazes where I was sat. Portsmouth (h) 2-0 win (N'Zogbia, Shearer) - Don't need to say much about this one. The record breaker in front of me in the Gallowgate, don't think I've ever cheered as loud. Epic atmosphere. Barnsley (a) last season 2-2 draw (Nolan, Harewood) - 7,000 of us man. Mental. Boro (h) last season 2-0 win (Harewood, Shola) Game was alright, nothing special, but I just remember the journey up in the snow, having the to clean the windscreens at a service station so my Dad could see where he was going. The piles of snow on the side of the pitch, it being -14 according to the car's temp gauge, having 7 layers on and still being cold. Oh and we dicked them. Honourable mentions would go to: Reading 3-2 under Roeder, Mallorca 4-1 in the Waffa under SBR, Everton (a) and Wigan (h) this season.
