  1. Done the same now, but got £1 returning £8424.68, where'd you do yours? Just at William Hill down the road. Portsmouth are 2 up though so its pretty much down the drain already.
  2. Accumulator: Leicester win Arsenal win Birmingham/Wigan Draw Blackburn win Fulham/Everton Draw West Ham/Spurs Draw Leeds win Forest/Swansea Draw QPR win Man Utd win Newcastle win £1 bet returns £5423.26 Please. God.
  3. 1st Season Perhaps we came close Don't bother mate, he's fishing and has an irrational hatred towards Shearer based on not a lot.

    Kevin Nolan

Its also a fact that Nolan is an excellent finisher, has outstanding positional sense, gives his all in 99.9% of games and appears to have the respect of his team mates and his manager. Yes, he has his bad games but he also has his bloody good ones like he did on Saturday. He gets far too much stick and is a useful asset to the team. Your right, but imo a professional footballer should not be in the shape he is, especially in the premiership, and that will catch-up with him. Either the management are ignoring it, or Nolan has some other problem that doesn't allow him to be able to lose weight. I don't reckon he's unfit. Chased down everything on Saturday right till the finish. I was one of his biggest critics last year but he's won me over. Probably helps bringing in Tiote so him and Barton can concentrate on doing their own jobs.
  5. Apparently he won't. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1314036/Frank-Lampard-targets-Manchester-City-return-Chelsea.html

    Keeper Crisis!

Soderberg would be next in line, then Alnwick if the shit really hit the fan.
  8. With Ronaldo on this one like. I wouldn't be against it in the slightest, having said that Krul clearly has better command of his area than Shay's ever had.

How anyone can criticise Nolan after being scythed down from behind just as he was about to score it is totally and utterly beyond me.
  10. We were class today. Cracking atmosphere in our section, Everton fans were shit, ref was the worst I've ever seen. Harper 6 - Was solid till his injury, Perch 7 - Played well and linked up well with Routledge on the right. Williamson 7 - One or two errors. Impeccable otherwise. Coloccini 8 - Top class today. Even bombed down the wing at one point Enrique 7 - Great in both attack and defence again. Routledge 7 - Carried plenty of attacking threat, always a danger to their defence. Tiote 9 - Looks a really good defensive midfielder. Good on the ball as well and not bad going forward. Barton 7 - Plenty of drive going forward, decent deliveries in the box and battled for everything. Ben Arfa 10 - The man is unreal. Not just his goal, he skinned their defence everytime, every touch was near perfect. Just sheer brilliance. Nolan 7 - Again battled for everything and should have scored had he not been scythed down in the box from behind in what was a blatant penalty not given. Carroll 7 - Won most of his headers, hold up play was good as well. Did his job basically. Krul 8 - Canny. Totally dominates his area and pulled off some good saves. Should make the keeper spot his own with Harper out. Jonas 5 - Didn't really do much, was only on 10 mins to be fair.
  11. We've missed Guthrie imo. Decent player and a good passer of the ball. Also gives the midfield a lot of go forward, will be very useful against the mid-lower table teams. Mid-table premiership is probably his level tbh.
  12. Just booked my train for this. £15.85 return from Leeds fucking yes. Will go home on the Friday to see the rents and stop over, get the train up, play, off to SJP for the toon match then play the NOFC game against Whitby the next day then get the train back to Leeds and back on to Liverpool. So now it just requires a bunch of us to buy tickets for the toon match in the same row, and for someone to offer me a place to stay Saturday night.
  13. Shearer's second against Spurs extra time of the FA Cup Semi at Old Trafford sticks out. What a goal and Tyldesly's commentary is fantastic. Which is a sentence I've never typed before Still though I'd have to go with Shearer's record breaker. Living away from Newcastle I've never got to more than 5 games a season so you learn to savour each experience, we lucked out me and my Dad with that one, a man at my Dad's work offered him his season ticket for the game as he was on holiday and Dad bought another ticket for me. I was in the Gallowgate behind the goal, he was in the corner where Shearer ran to celebrate. It was perfect to see my hero, my idol since I was 6 years old break the great Milburn's record at the end where I was sat without a doubt one of the happiest moments of my life. The atmosphere after that goal was amazing, the Gallowgate was absolutely rocking, such a fantastic experience. So many great moments mentioned in here. Reminds me why I'm a Newcastle fan
  14. Read this earlier. Very sad. R.I.P.
  15. Still yes but I think we'll do a fair bit better.
