Close to loan deal with permanent move at end of season according to lee ryder.
  3. I don't think anyone's dismissing him in that regard. He did well in getting us up and signed the right players i.e Routledge at the right time. The players he's brought in so far have addressed needs. Still if he doesn't sign a striker I'll be worried, though I will give the current crop of forwards and Hughton my full backing.
  4. Had a look at the Away kit in sports direct. Its a winner for me, I actually think the crest looks pretty damn good.
  5. Think we might just survive tbh. The squad isn't great but its still better than WBA and Blackpool and I think Wigan will finally bite the dust this year.

You're in the pit lane at the Hungarian GP and you're posting on here? What's wrong with you?!

  8. Adopted Fiorentina as my Italian team after my Mam and Dad went to Tuscany and brought me back a shirt. A fakey but its still nice and I don't have the heart or the money at the minute to buy a real one and where that instead. Quite like Parma as well
  9. Its fine. Nothing wrong with it.
  10. The Sun reckons there's an option for another 12 months based on appearances and then the possibility of a coaching role. I know its a unreliable source but it would make sense with him wanting to start a family up here supposedly.
  11. Howay man, that's not saying much Aye but it gives me an immense feeling of satisfaction knowing the Mackems signed someone shit and we signed someone half decent.
  12. Necessary signing. He's free, he's still got it, he'll mentor the young guys, he's better than Bramble.
  13. IMO Hughton has proven himself to be quite astute at seeing what the team needs and I think it will be just as obvious to him as it is to everyone else that our main priority is a striker. I agree that Hughton is perfectly aware that we need a striker, but at the moment I'm not sure it is the biggest priority, or should be. The defense is in a horrific state following the injuries to Kadar, Perch and Taylor. They might be s***, but at least we have some cover up front. Probably right at the minute, hence why I'm not against us getting Jlloyd Samuel if the rumours are true and why I'd definitely like to see us make a push for Campbell now. Then when everyone is fit we will have a fair bit of depth in defence. Also Shola gets far too much stick for me. Decent footballer who was made a scapegoat for a mediocre team in the Souness in Roeder years. For me the perfect example of his talents is the goal at home against Forest, back to goal, turns and powers a well placed shot into the bottom corner. He didn't have to look, he knew exactly where the goal was. Then the backheel to Enrique for the 2nd The introduction of Shola pretty much won us that game.

  15. Some Spanish bloke on twitter reckons Marcos Alonso is off to Bolton and Jlloyd Samuel is coming here as a result. Not the most reliable source I know but it would make sense given Taylor's injury and our lack of funds. Also Sky are reporting that Palace are interested in Ranger on loan.
  16. hope you got number 29 for Vuckic?! Will be doing the same, except getting the blue one with Lovenkrands instead of Routledge.

    Sunderland...

i'll always remember that, the guy should of been shot after that. robson had too much faith in him, like wise with dyer! was it because of their ipswich connection, as they both let him down big time Dyer was fantastic for us when he was fit, injuries were always his downfall.
  18. Agreed, Gosling is box to box, Cleverly is far more attacking.
  19. Intersting I don't know if Gosling's signing will affect this. It's hard to imagine us playing two such young players together in the midfield in the Premiership, and there'd be no point in Man U loaning Cleverley out if he wasn't going to get regular first team experience. Still, if there's one player I'd like to see come here, it's Cleverley. More likely though with Gosling out for the first few months. Midfield needs as much stregnthening as it can get.

    Sunderland...

What about europe then...... f*** Shearer, what about Shola? Shola - 19 Sunderland - 5 You must be shitting me. Shola Ameobi has 19 European goals? Course he does, he scored a few in the Champions League and many more in the UEFA Cup. Him and Lua Lua destroyed Leverkusen away from Home in the last 16 of the CL. Then we destroyed them at Home, Shearer hatrick, all at the leazes end where I was sitting We only just missed out on getting through that second group stage and into the last 8. What a fantastic season that was.
  21. A few people? Random people who have nothing to do with sport whatsoever, or? As much as I'd cum if he signed for us, I really don't see us going after another midfielder now. Aye I take them all with a pinch of salt obviously.
  22. Forest want Van Aanholt on a season's loan, according to The Sun anyway.
  23. Highly rated attacking midfielder. Self stated lifelong Newcastle fan, would be a very good signing.
