  1. Aye .com doing that seems significant, they usually report on rumours with cynicism.
  2. John Carver will have a hellish time doing that, impossible to string 11 Jack Colbacks together.
  3. A lad at my school said his dad built Chaos II and sold it to the ginger fella that used to drive it on Robot Wars for fifty grand, that probably sounds more plausible.
  4. That'll be those VE day celebrations, all the negative orgones being aimed at the Jerries from cul-de-sacs across Britain. The end result being there'll be no sport on the box again next weekend, so Micky Brit and his family are free to responsibly head to a busy day trip hotspot when the sun comes out cos being at home is well boring.
  5. I think getting club favourites involved is fine but only in ambassadorial roles otherwise it turns into a "jobs for the boys" style thing which has Shola in the loan managers role. For the likes of Keegan, Hughton, Jonas, Rafa and even to a lesser extent the likes of Rondon, Enrique, Barton - players who were treated poorly by the Ashley administration but have since professed their love for the club - should be brought back as half time hero, guest of honour or whatever during home games. Would be quite cathartic that IMO.
  6. him and Stevie Taylor were a right pair of Peter Pans
  7. Cheers. I maybe overstated the impact it would have on GR's stats but as expected, Souness sinks like a stone when you take out walloping European cack.
  8. I'd be interested to see the PL only %s because Roeder and Souness will have improved theirs a fair bit by beating teams of waiters in July.
  9. Keegan Sir Bob Rafa Keegan 2 Hughton Roeder Dalglish Pardew Gullit Bruce Kinnear Allardyce McClaren Souness Carver Roeder, Dalglish and Pardew oversaw European nights despite shitness otherwise. Bruce, Kinnear and Allardyce would have kept us up had they completed their respective seasons. McClaren would have taken us down and I firmly believe Souness would have too. An utter utter cunt who from a position of relative strength in terms of the squad absolutely wrecked the club. Carver last because he's pathetic.
  10. Roeder inherited a far shitter squad than McClaren, Souness, Pardew, Bruce etc. all did and I think with hindsight keeping us well clear of relegation was by no means a done deal that year... will never forgive him for Alkmaar away though. That was an absolute masterclass in game management on a "don't do as I do" basis.
  11. Look at me, look at me, I've donated some money to a worthy cause. Pathetic
  12. Is there a Boo Perez button available? Or a new page wanker button, naturally
  13. Yeah Pretty sure they have different departments fully staffed and qualified in their respective roles. Exactly - Caulkin spoke about an "unexpected delay" - hardly lack of staff due to Covid. You's lot are living on a different planet. Do you think the PL has a whole department dedicated to just takeovers? At what point have I, or indeed anyone who quoted and replied to my post, said that?
  14. When people say the PL are busy sorting out the return of football as a priority ahead of the takeover, you can tell they're under the Ashley years doctrine of thinking every large organisation has a max of two senior officials running it and can therefore only deal with one thing at a time.
  15. Collectors item that match, Alan Smith scored a bullet header.
  16. I thought that. Waugh said a few hours ago on Twitter it should be available tonight
  17. Wonder what that lad near the bottom was having for his tea?
  18. This is a man who boasted he didn't know how to send an email when he was at Sunderland so I'm going to stick my neck out and assume he hasn't set up Zoom or Teams or anything like that.
  19. From the same interview that I mentioned above that one, he also then says Williamson got sent off on purpose for the hattrick.
  20. John Carver with the thickest answer I've ever heard following one of the many, many defeats he presided over: Journalist: "Well John, on a scale of 1 to 10, how frustrating was that today?" Carver: "It's probably more like a minus 10 to be honest with you"
