  1. This is it like. In a way, I'm probably slightly more tolerant or certainly less agitated than I would normally be about dross like yesterday thinking that there's only another 7 or 8 shitfests of the Bruce era to endure. If the takeover doesn't happen and it's Ashley/Bruce next season that'll be it for me, I'll be totally switched off until the day ownership actually does change. We're closer than ever and finally thinking of exciting times, going back to the depressing reality will be too much to bear.
  2. Bet Bruce starts him against Man City and he'll go off injured within half an hour.

    Sunderland

Still a pittance of a fee that like.
  4. Shite uninspiring game, point virtually confirms safety, please hurry up Saudis so I can start counting down how many more shite Bruce performsnces are left. That is all.
  5. 6 year deal of which he didn't kick a competitive ball for the last 3 years off you fuck, you were shite.
  6. Aye. Brighton aside they've been spot on.
  7. I'm going nowhere near Kane after the last game, he barely touched the ball.
  8. He's managed to keep us up, which is the bare minimum you'd expect. That puts him ahead of McClaren and Carver who took us to the cliff edge. "Okay" in the realms of what Ashley's ownership restricts us to is probably midtable safety. "Okay" under new ownership may well end up being top 8, top 6 etc. before long. I don't like Bruce and want him peddled ASAP. I'm just relieved he hasn't relegated us like I expected him to.
  9. Seems very quiet in the press and on Twitter since the Saudi piracy statements came out.
  10. I swear he said the Palace job would be his last job, not long before Pards took it. That was 6 years ago and he's been at Cardiff, Rotherham, QPR and now Boro since then
  11. I think that's an astute short term move, Woodgate has been a disaster and Colin will keep them up.
  12. Not enough agenda-driven replays on SSN or similar. Ray Stubbs has got Cabaye at Brighton in the cup as his screensaver.
  13. They don't have a goalscorer in their team either. Mousset had a brief flash earlier in the season, Sharp is a lower league player, McBurnie not really hit the heights yet and David McGoaldrought probably up with Joelinton this season. If they'd had a Danny Ings or a Jordan Ayew tickling double figures they'd be sitting comfy top four by now.
  14. They're business people, you wouldn't put someone in charge of managing an investment portfolio just because they're from the area its based in yet drastically underqualifed in every other area. I'm confident Bruce is binned and someone competent is brought in. After all, as has been mentioned, ambassadorial roles can be created for those with a passion and love for the club but who don't have the talent or skills to fulfil footballing positions. Not that I'm suggesting for one moment that Bruce should have one.
  15. I've got Friday-Monday off work too, an announcement this week would be excellent Thursday afternoon please.

    Joelinton

He's been stuck in a hotel by himself for months as well apparently. He just can't get it up. I assume it was the Joelinton Travel Tavern he was staying at?
  17. Richarlison so greedy there. Was like FM2020 where despite the obvious square ball for a tap in they inexplicably blast it at the keeper from a nothing angle every time
  18. Not like he's had a good fifteen or so home fixtures to get that scoreline before today is it? Poor lamb.
  19. I for one choose to believe the Chronicle given their glorious track record.

Norwich, Bournemouth and West Ham I think. Watford look solid under Pearson and will grind out points, plus Sarr looks to be coming to the boil. Villa I think will just about have enough, Grealish being the main difference-maker versus West Ham.
  21. I think a combo of their intensity and energy, and the overlapping CB innovation in the first half of the season saw them nick a lot of their home games and get loads of 1-1 draws in away games they were the poorer side in. Take away both those things today and they looked like a dreadful side full of no-marks with a League 1 striker up top. As has been said, this side come up say 3 or 4 seasons ago and they probably finish about 12th or 13th, which would have still been canny for a newly-promoted side.
  22. Looking at him when he was signed you'd have been forgiven for putting him in the "foreign fancy dan with floppy haircut" category but I think an underrated attribute of his is the strength he has on the ball, it's not often he gets muscled out of it 1-vs-1 and that really showed today I thought. He's excellent and far too good for Ashley's NUFC. Would love to see what he could do in a side with a decent manager and a few quality additions because he's shone through in this extremely limited side despite Bruce's attempts to injure him at every given chance.
  23. Rose was the only player who looked poor today I thought, everyone else had solid-to-excellent games. His passing was absolutely garbage. First game I can remember in the league where Joelinton's had more than 1 chance in the game, and lo and behold, he scored. He did well to engineer the red too.
