Jermain Defoe doesn't even get his fucking head up, blasts a shot off the defender, which hits back off him and goes out for a goal kick. His awareness on the pitch is utterly shite, he's far too selfish.
As much as the commentators are exaggerating here, it's not always a formality when England play a minnow side. We've struggled to play well a lot of the time, come out with some shit 0-0s and we normally labour to a 1-0 - this is much better to see.
TBH, if we're going to give them both a game together this is the sort of game where their 'experience' will benefit the younger players.
Agree with the sentiment though. It has been over 6 years since "we can't play them together ffs!" at the WC in Germany.
