Shame they've ditched the chalkboards thing, Perch's today would have been mint. Would be interested to see his stats, particularly tackles and passing %.

    Alan Pardew

Not a chance will Pardew ever be hated as much as Souness/Allardyce.
  3. everyone who is advocating Perch over Williamson for this game is forgetting Perch was murdered by Long and Odemwingie back in December at SJP, then?
  4. Oh, cool! You have one of those old-fashioned typewriter computers.

    Shola Ameobi

This is how we should be utilising him. He's great for the last 20-30 minutes.
  6. Whilst he's in horrendous form at the moment, I think he'd not look half as bad (with the ball) if Danny Simpson showed for the ball once in a while.
  7. Had an excellent game today. I'm not too sure whether there's a long-term benefit him playing left-back but certainly at the minute I think he should play there, particularly if it means Ben Arfa and Cisse fit into the side.
  8. I think we'll get beat here. Would be delighted with a draw right now.

    James Perch

Excellent today, covered so much ground. He was strong in the tackle, economical with possession and kept us ticking over nicely. His best game in our shirt, imo.
  10. Nearly all of the pre-match stuff was pissing and moaning that we had Perch, Gutierrez and Cabaye playing in unnatural positions. Perch had one of his best games in our shirt today, and Gutierrez deserved his man-of-the-match award. Cabaye was areet in patches too. The football was still too much long-ball, for large periods we looked a bit shaky, but other than those two saves Krul made in quick succession, did Norwich actually trouble our goal whatsoever? No. Ba and Cisse both had great chances well saved and on another day we'd have had at least one penalty. We were a bit better today (in fits and starts) than we have been of late but nowhere near peak performance. Thankfully, it was enough. I think today was just one of those ones we needed to win in whatever fashion and move on from.
  11. Questions will be asked if we don't win, full stop. Our performances and results have been poor lately, so Pardew seems to be trying something different. Seems daft how everyone is pissing their pants over the lineup. Keegan's 4312 looked weird when he first changed us to that after some dire form, that worked wonders in the short term. Have some faith!
  12. No win in 5 and Pardew is trying something new. Shoot him with shit.
  13. He has a knock. Protecting him ala Tiote. The point is, there's a section of knobheads who will always find summat to complain about. Ben Arfa, Ba and Cisse are all starting. Have some bloody optimism.
  14. So many people complaining about not seeing Ben Arfa often enough. Now he has his place, people have a pop at Pards (that has a good ring to it) about him 'dropping' an injured player. lay off Pards ffs
  15. Surely Perch at LB and Gutierrez in midfield? I shat when I saw that lineup
  16. IMO we'll see Krul; Perch, Williamsom, Coloccini, Santon; Ben Arfa, Guthrie, Cabaye, Gutierrez; Ba, Cisse and if we do, we'll win.

    Alan Pardew

Just been reading up on this thread. Hughton gets better with every game Pardew doesn't win, it's fucking hilarious. People are dead fast to forget the shit performances we saw under Hughton. Don't point to the 5-1 or 6-0 either, because results obviously don't matter one jot. Unless Pardew loses a game ofc.

    James Perch

I'd like to see Perch ahead of Simpson for a while at RB. And yes btw, I acknowledge that Simpson had one of his better games last time out. He's been shit for large parts of this season though and I'm fed up with him.
  20. Perch offered a solid showing at LB when he came on at Arsenal, I think it'll be him and Santon in the full-back slots.

    Erik Pieters

    Maybe he gets stage fright.
  22. Norwich tend to win 1-2 away from home a lot. Having said that, if we play a front six of HBA, Tiote, Cabaye, Gutierrez, Ba and Cisse I think we'll win the game. If we play Obertan or Shola, maybe not. I quite like Shola in his current sub role, he offers a lot for about 20-30 minutes. No more, though.
