  1. I think Mason got that spot on, Lucas took a dive.
  2. Sad news. Hopefully he saw Pete bag his hat-trick the other night. RIP

    Milner for England

I personally believe he is. He's not competing for a place in the starting XI just yet but he's a valuable member of the squad. yes but there are quite a few players who are fighting for squad positions...and there are quite a few players who can play that utility role you talked about...Hargreaves, Carrick...etc. My comment on SWP is not cause I think he is that good (in fact I used to rate Lennon more), but he is probably the only pacey RW right now performing to a reasonable level of consistency. If Milner is competing for a place in the squad (i.e. not starting XI as you conceded), how in the world can he be nailed on to get selected? Only just seen this. Exactly the reason I said. Just because he isn't going to be in the starting XI doesn't mean he couldn't be nailed on to go. Like I've explained, he's a valuable member of the squad and has consistently shown that all season for both club and country.
  4. I'll be at Cheltenham for the Gold Cup the previous day so it makes sense to have a night in Bristol and stay for the match the following day! I'm glad you've mentioned this, didn't realise that Cheltenham was the week leading upto the Bristol game! May have to do the same as you.
  5. If he could use it he'd probably be one of the best strikers in the world. I'd say he needs to use it a lot better. I know he's only young but he really has to work on it because it'll be the difference between him been a good player or a superb one.
  6. Shame he doesn't know how to use his pace.
  7. Stoke are 3/1 at home to Liverpool on Saturday, who are without Gerrard, Torres, Johnson, Benayoun and possibly Mascherano.
  8. who's that ? the only other club i've heard interested was villa. Wolves and Hull are too apparently. They can't afford him.
  9. Have you seen the other crowds for the FA Cup?

Didn't see this for myself but there was a big snowball fight in the train station in Hull on Friday, started by the Chelsea squad.

Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink in Nando's last night.
  13. Hope so. FAO: Nicky Butt - You're shit. Fuck off and retire you useless bastard.
  14. Seems to like Newcastle. If they keep pissing him off, I'm sure we'd welcome him in the summer.
  15. Arsenal Leeds -1 Norwich 2/1.
  16. See there you go, a bit of common sense. I would sooner take Marley's word for it then Ronaldo's, no way we get him for £1.5 mill, the low fee is mor down to his contract running out than low ability. Ufe he has 2 years left on his contract they would be wanting about £6mill for him, lets look at what he is worth to us not what he is worth to Leeds. If they wanted £6m for him, they'd be the laughing stock of the world.
  17. Named in the starting line-up for Leeds today.
  18. It isn't a disgrace at all. It would have been a disgrace if they'd have called it off at 11am on Saturday.
  19. You just know someone else will come in after our interest & he'll end up doing brilliantly Arshavin style. I hope you haven't just compared Beckford to Arshavin.
  20. great lyrics. When does Lua Lua appear. I saw Nile but no Kazenga. He's on near the end of the video, along with Ole Soderberg who looks completely out of place.
  21. 31 years old and on £50k+ a week, hardly sensible. Why not? Cheap to buy and he'd keep us up if he could stay fit. Not saying he'd be my first choice, just a solid, realistic one. He'd never make it onto the pitch and that isn't just because of his injuries either. You could say that for pretty much any creative central midfielder that we could realistically get. Why, do they all have the same lifestyle as Bullard? Elaborate please. He has a reputation for his lifestyle off the pitch. If he moved to Newcastle, I'm certain it'd be worse.
