  1. Ben Arfa hasn't shown any sort of a bad temperament since joining us though. Cabaye actually has a few times. There was a big bust up in the French camp I thought he was involvec with? But yeah, no bad stuff for NUFC, long may it continue.
  2. Sewelly knows the score http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u289/Dinomasic/funny-picture-bear-grylls-hand-over-the-piss-and-no-one-gets-hurt_zps55512183.jpg Surprised so many people are disparaging Nixon though, as KI, Kaizero etc have said, the lad's done good.
  3. Ben Arfa is a bit tempremental for capitain material imo. Cabaye's the man
  4. Don't agree with the bold. But yeah, think with the people he mixes with now I'd say he's be a more reliable source of information than the average bear.
  5. Are we talking Nixon as in the old poster from here? If so, that carries as much weight as anything posted by the hundreds of users on here this morning. Nixon's a journalist now, so I'd take his views on this over the majority here You serious? Isn't he just a freelance writer for a few websites? What sources does he have at the club? He covers north east footy for ESPN, goes to the club press conferences etc.

Never mind, just thought it would be good to ge tthe view of a journalist covering the north east who we know a bit better than the rest.

  8. Nixon's take on things, taken from FB: San Lorenzo are one of Argentina's big fives. They're doing very poorly in the league right now and aren't blessed financially (despite having a rich owner, Ashley's Argie Cousin?). In fact Colo's given them money in recent times. They couldn't afford to relocate him but are trying (through his Dad, Ex San Lore player, current youth director) to get him to generate the entire move himself. He couldn't afford to buy himself out, so while he may have asked the club to let him go, they won't. Them saying how much they want Coloccini is no different to you or I saying how much we'd love Andy Cole to return circa 1998/99 when we were pap. It's all been sensationalist pap in the Argentine press lately, and they've been linked with Mauro Cetto a far more reasonable option. I've heard he's had a few off field issues this season (not the Pardew argument) but to make out like he won't be professional or this is crisis clearly forget being on the brink just before Keegan. Fernando Gago is in a similar situation with Valencia - trying to get a move to Boca Juniors, but remember how bleak financially Argentina is (in general as well as its league) and you begin to see why this is unlikely. Nothing against the author, but he seems to have just spliced together Argentine tabloid and a bit of speculation.
  9. The timing of this story is terrible, just before such an important game. What a massive steaming pile of shit this season is turning into.
  10. That was great, extra special on our home ground. Shame how it ended though
  11. Ah nice one, mate. Hadn't put you in as i thought you'd be away. Position? CB/FB. DM if in desperate. I'm ok at tackling but not much else. Will be here until the end of the March now.
  12. My prediction. The Krusty Brugler is Newcaslte (appropriately black and white). Norwich are Homer/Krusty. The crying child is me.
  13. To be fair from what I remember it was Dummet playing the striker onside for their second goal.
  14. His mates / family bought him that shirt because he's got similar hair to Fellaini. Colocinni wouldn't have gone down well.
  15. He was doing it last year. We had Ben Arfa out a while, we beat a strike force of Carroll & Suarez with a centre-back pairing of Perch & Williamson, so we know he can do it. There's just something not right. Yeah, Dalglish isn't managing Liverpool anymore.
  16. Gonna go round and leaving a steaming shitbag on his doorstep and then egg him all the way back to London. I just don't know who we'd get in. It's mental how wrong this season has went in comparison to last.
  17. What will peoples view on him be if we lose against Norwich and Reading?
  18. Haha. As if you're an NUFC fan. At as late as 5am in the morning it sure seems like I'm watching/listening to the games for some reason (almost every game for over 20 years). Not like those soft types in the north east of England who have to wait until daylight to watch a game of football. Wouldn't you rather get up at 5am for a cup final, pet?
  19. But who would we get in? Who cares? Susan Boyle couldn't do any worse. graham carr No. Changing for the sake of change is stupid. It's what got this club into the position it's in today. Ok, we could ge the bloke from Lille. We could get Solskjaer. We could go for Martinez. Bilic, hell, even Ketsbaia. Don't know anything about the bloke from Lille, Bilic or Solskjaer. Martinez is very inconsistant in my opinion. Ketsbaia has done well, but would there be any point in firing him at this point in the season? We're not going to achieve anything in the league other than survival (which I think we'll do under Pardew anyway). What gain is there in rocking the boat now other than for a truly outstanding candidate? The players and fans look they need a change i.e. Sacking Souness for Roeder. Was immediate to see the difference the players had in their step. (We also had a big injury list then as well). How did that turn out long term mate?
