It's felt like the first result in a while that's gone well between ourselves, Liverpool and the mackems. Let's hope the tide has turned!
-
It's going to be a long couple of days, like. Mad how quickly our defence has switched from the league's best to being a bit shambolic.... in that respect, I fear Brighton's attack. Definitely see them scoring, so suddenly we need two. Just have to hope there's an 'after the lord mayors show' vibe, with their week's outstanding performance already done.
-
Fuck this bed-wetting narrative, like. It was realism in a place of delirium. An experienced team is relentlessly chasing down an inexperienced one whose defence has collapsed. Either we finally, finally get help from someone (Villa), find a way to defeat a very good Brighton team or beat Chelsea who - for all their recent shite - are still capable of being final day dickheads. We shouldn't be assuming wins against anyone, as Leeds taught us.
-
I very rarely bet but - in hopes of jinxing my pessimism - have been putting on 'worst case scenario' bets of late. The last two weeks have brought in over £150. Never been so gutted to win money Liverpool, Sunderland, Newcastle draw/lose
-
For me, it'd be like when I'm obsessed with a TV show but it ends badly, so I'll inevitably never re-watch that show again. If we finish 5th, the pain will be so strong that I'll try to forget it ever happened.... that'll be called 'wrong' but whatever, we all deal with things differently
-
Yeah, we need a favour from elsewhere.
-
Estupinan on the bench, Martinelli was this week's transfer. I have no intention of playing this game next season.
-
Really don't want Burn at LB for this.
-
Ah Martinelli injured, just after buying him in FPL yesterday. Classic.
-
Think it's a draw, unfortunately. Would love for Burn to miss out but not particularly optimistic of that. Think we're best playing only one of Isak/Wilson, ideally Isak but Wilson has the recent goal count.... guess it depends on if Longstaff can recover or ASM is ready to start.
-
Nice to know this one day won't be ruined by football
-
Definitely think Leicester will score past them. Unfortunately, they probably also concede at least three, on account of being horrific.
-
Yeah exactly, ages to go.
-
I've put on 'worst case scenario' bets of late, involving Liverpool, Newcastle and Sunderland. At least some money is finally coming in
-
Villa being competitive for their Anfield trip will be nice. Battle for European spots, with a clean sheet today too. EDIT: open play clean sheet
-
Need a massive favour from elsewhere because I don't have faith in these doing it themselves, unfortunately. Bed is very dry, by the way. Always was.
-
In a heartbeat. Would love that.
-
Rashford a major doubt for tomorrow.
-
£10 on their promotion..... it wins £810 but is already at a £149.47 cashout (how to throw away £660.53)
-
Even if they finish last with zero points, I just don't want them anywhere near the Premier League. Hearing their name said on TV, reading about their existence, seeing those stripes etc.
-
Another ridiculous set of results..... even when Millwall were 3-1 up and Coventry was 1-0, there was absolutely no trust from me in either of them. And obviously, after weeks and weeks of Millwall, Blackburn, Preston etc repeatedly chucking points away, knobheads Blackburn choose today to finally fucking win. Twats. Mackems will go up, mind. Everything keeps happening in their favour. It's beyond freakish how much luck they're getting elsewhere.
-
He was great to watch yesterday. Just brilliant with the ball, like he can't lose it. And he can do everything..... I remember writing about his signing and finding a quote that he was a footballing unicorn.
-
Doom-mongers? The confidence has been a bit OTT recently so adding a more level-headed opinion (about Leeds/Leicester not being guaranteed wins, Brighton are good, hey maybe we won't beat 2nd-placed Arsenal etc) gets labelled as an attention-seeking wetting of beds. It's called not having your head in the clouds. I found those 97% predictions from Opta/FiveThirtyEight a bit ludicrous. 60/40 more like. But hey, let's hope Liverpool slip-up and we reach the promised land. That'd be incredible
-
We played alright, generally. Isak looks special every time he's on the ball and Willock had some big moments. Still don't think we'll get the 7 points (according to the internet we've already bagged wins over Leeds and Leicester, because that's famously how football works) but hopefully Liverpool have that one slip-up.

Want to say so much.
