  1. Stoke City buying a defensive midfielder for a fee that'd smash Newcastle's transfer record. Fucking show offs
  2. I thought he might've took the Man Utd job, seeing as that's always been his desire.
  3. But can he displace Glenn Whelan?
  4. Starting to worry that West Brom aren't just playing games - they genuinely aren't selling him. I know they don't want us to overtake them, but £24m for a bench player..... they could do great things with that, things that pull them far away from relegation.
  5. Worst case scenario, we've still signed the striker we need. The prospect of 2 only came up in the last 48 hours. It's already been a better-than-expected window but I'd love to top it off with Berahino.
  6. I've no doubt we'll match Stoke's bid (and pay it all up front) but, with another buyer, West Brom can easily just say no to us.
  7. Stoke have bid in excess of £21m
  8. Berahino has them over a barrel here, his value is dropping by the day and he's not signing a new contract. £21m was arguably too much so, whilst it's admirable to see a smaller club keeping their assets, I'm not sure it makes financial sense. Are they really in relegation trouble? It's not like they play him anyway.
  9. About time we broke our transfer record I think every other PL club has broken theirs in the past 4 years and we're still looking at Owen 2005.
  10. £21m is probably the limit tbh, but he'd be an exciting signing. Fingers tightly crossed.
  11. They've chased Rhodes for ages, you'd have thought Boro would 'unofficially' know his demands. Maybe it's a negotiation tactic.
  12. It's a loan and he's ok, so I'm happy with this. Far better than Shola, Riviere, Kuqi etc. On the other hand, Gomis would be a brutal and mindless purchase.
  13. There's his next excuse lined up
  14. Anyone but Gomis tbh. He's worse than Cisse.
  15. Yeah, it's coming from a few places now. I was really excited about this one too
  16. £7.5m for an unknown 25-year-old, playing in Ecuador? Sounds legit
  17. Doumbia is getting crazy stick in here. Signing width and left-sided threat was more imporant anyway. But at least Doumbia is quick and has CL experience - we've had worse.
  18. Ketsbaia

    Loïc Remy

It hurts to say this, but what a fucking signing that is for Leicester
  19. Ed Aarons from the Guardian (who broke the Townsend deal) says we're now after Davide Santon
  20. Doumbia easily fits with a 'kumbaya my lord' chant
  21. Jetro Willems And yeah, we're now signing English players, over-26 players and even over-spending on some. It's a complete change brought on by the panic of relegation.
