  1. Van Damme is injured. They'll have the woeful Elokobi at left back.
  2. Amazing how people can say they wouldn't have Robbie Keane. If Carroll got injured today and ruled out for the season today, we'd be consigned to relegation without another striker. A front trio of: Ben Arfa Keane Carroll Would no doubt not only keep us up, but fire us into mid table. Yes, maybe he's not at the level he was when Liverpool paid 20M for his a few seasons ago but he's not a Micheal Owen, he doesn't rely on pace. He's a poacher, an excellent finisher with great technique who gets himself into good positions. Carroll would learn from him somewhat and he'd score goals. I'd love him here tbh, he's better than what we've got and he's way better than anything we expected in this window.

You have to be his agent.

  5. Is it not a player/coach deal?

Probably rubbish and probably not worthy of a thread but hey we're signing decent players for the first time in a few year, forgive me for getting carried away a little.
  7. Reports here and there linking us with him. I'd certainly take him. A combination of Carroll and Keane would most certainly score the goals to keep us up. Dare we dream?
  8. I'll answer this on September 1st.

Well you know what you can do? Buy the club and distribute them yourself rather than sitting on your arse complaining.
  20. Zayatte has epitomised Hull over the last few years. Fantastic for the first 6 months, then shit there after.

He's not going back to Marseille. He's not training with them, he's not causing any immediate problems. Marseille don't desperately need the funds for another transfer this window because their business in done apart from HBA. Our shite offer will still be on the table and Marseille will drag this out untill the last day to see if they can get a better deal elsewhere, they'll do this because they simply can. It's a shame because I dont think he'll come here in the end, nor do I think we'll sign another creative midfielder.
