The Managerial Merry Go Round™ - Ancelotti to Brazil
Doctor Zaius replied to cp40's topic in Football
Depends how well he does at the Euros I guess. If its another respectable or encouraging performance I think he'll want another world cup. Might get the bullet if we're shit, but then his stock might have fallen too far for the Palace job. The Palace job is a tough one. Once Zaha goes they'll need to invest that money wisely. They dont have much money to splash outside of that. -
What are you on? Have you just woke up from a 6 months coma, The Takeover, the big 6 project......Aye the Pl are Snow White. If PIF etc haven't provided what they need, then make a decision and say rejected because of x, y and z. Don't f***ing hide behind 'no decision has been made'. But how do you know the decision process is even structured like that? It could be a case of 'until you provide us with proof of X, Y and Z we can't approve the takeover'. 'We'll approve it when you provide this and that'. Therefore its not a formal rejection, its a case of the PL being willing if certain requirements are met, which as of yet haven't. Even if the approval process was on a Accept/Reject spectrum, rejecting it could terminate any legal/administrative progress that has been made up to that point. They bidders would essentially have to start the entire process at all. I can't see a logical reason as to why the PL wouldnt be in favour of a takeover if it met certain requirements. It goes completely again their interests. Are you on the wind up ? If you can’t see a logical reason I f***ing despair. Well howay then oracle. Explain to me why it makes any sort of business sense for the PL to block more income and growth in the league and why they haven't done it before? An answer that consists of more than 'muh corruption' or pasting the f***ing tweets of known lunatic Burnsie into the thread if possible.. What is your definition of the PL ? You do realise it consists of 20 stakeholders of which 6 are clearly calling the shots. Masters and Hoffman have been hand picked by clubs within top 6 to carry out their agenda, once they cease to do this they will be gone. You don’t seem to accept there’s corruption despite the revelations of the past couple of weeks ? Why would the top 6 want to allow another club to threaten their income , it’s akin to turkeys voting for xmas. Also who do you believe within the PL wants the income or growth from this takeover Masters, Fenway, Levy ? I’ll tell you who no one. I actually think a twitter lunatic might have a better grasp on this than yourself to be honest. Don’t try and re write history, you’re knowledge of this takeover could be written on the back of a postage stamp. That was your response? You genuinely think that the takeover hasnt gone through because 'the top 6' have hand picked the CEO of PL to carry out their agenda. You're sitting there saying, the PL chief exec, would be against further income and growth within the league. Thats the basis of them rejecting the takeover. You're a moron.

I hate to bring this up mate, but when you’re talking about logic I really can’t take you seriously. Well thought out and reason based response as per usual. Just keep on screaming "ITS HAPPENING" at anyone who goes against your foolishly blind optimism. I'm sure that'll work. You’re credibility is zilch based on that post mate. You just keep believing the PL want this takeover, after all why wouldn’t they. And even back then in October, you weren't able to tell me why the PL wouldnt want this takeover. Either you're too thick to explain to me why, or you dont actually even know yourself.

>>>>>IGNORE THE BELOW POST IF YOU DON'T WANT TO READ A NON-OPTIMISTIC APPRAISAL OF THE TAKEOVER OF NUFC<<<<< Neither of those things are illegal (obviously). Here's what has actually happened, and what will come to light when this sorry saga finally peters out for good: this Keith Patterson bloke and his pal have spunked some money up the wall to pay for a letter from a very expensive QC. The letter had no impact on anything because its argument (that the Premier League not approving a takeover of a club by the biggest pirates of Premier League IP was a violation of competition law) was nonsense. That's where Robert O'Donoghue's involvement began and ended - he knew it was nonsense but someone paid his fees so he had little choice but to put together a nonsense argument (note that the talk of 'letters before action' and legal action being imminent disappeared into the ether...). The idea that Patterson is part of a co-ordinated legal attack concocted by some mixture of Ashley, Staveley, the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia and the Reuben brothers is genuinely insane. Recruiting local gobshites to pen appallingly-written letters to MPs is not how billionaires pursue legal strategies. Patterson, like Wraith, is a know-nothing gobshite using the desperation of fans to raise his profile for reasons we can only speculate on. The Saudi takeover of NUFC no longer exists as a going concern. Ashley is pursuing damages on the grounds of restraint of trade. No-one should give a shit whether he gets what he wants on that front. So wrong! The rest, well,I don’t know Kieth Pattison so can’t comment and Ashley, I’d never trust any motive of his, ever. PCP/PIF/Reubens they want NUFC and are working away to make sure the takeover happens. There's no actual proof of this though is there? There's absolutely no proof that PIF, Stavely or PCP are behind any of this ongoing legal action. It's just people attempting to join the dots. No matter how many times WhitleyMag or ManorPark scream that we cant see the wood for the tree's. Unfortunately, I think IMTTS take on the matter sounds a lot more likely than baseless stuff like "It'll be done by Spring", "My source says keep the faith", "We'll have news by Monday". I dont want to agree with Luke Edwards, but here I am. Its got to the point where people are being strung along by blind optimism, misplaced sources, vulture journalists and gobshite twitter ITKs. I'll include myself in that too, hence why I check this thread almost every day. As opposed to the proof they aren’t? Thankfully this is all being done secretly and fully behind closed doors even on the PL side finally, all this noise by this KP bloke, although not to be ignored and dismissed, is about public pressure (on all parties IMO) to have nowhere to hide from doing what must happen, and will happen IMO. So we're expected to believe that PIF/PCP/Saudis are behind the legal action on the basis that there isnt conclusive proof that they arent? Some of the logic in this thread

20M they've ended up spending on a player they never owned

Cannot see full crowds back in stadiums by the summer, even if it was moved to the UK/London. Absolutely no chance of their being anything above minimal crowds europe wide like. Sickner if you've made plans for it or were lucky enough to get a ticket. I'll be happy enough if we're allowed in a pub to watch games as normal (not fucking table service) but being honest, but that might well even be a stretch.

Fulham are a way better side than us. We're in deep shit like.
-
No surprises whatsoever that it's N-O's favourite knacker writing the article. Such a needless collection of paragraphs. No suprises he's an absolute drip when writing about other clubs and players, not just us. He's a pure freak like. Its a cliche, but he really does have a face you'd never tire of punching.
-
He's finished. Wont win another game here. We're that bad.

Sheffield Utd 1-0 Newcastle Utd - 12/01/21 - post match p22
Doctor Zaius replied to Disco's topic in Football
This is amongst the worst games of football ive ever watched, at any level. We're pathetic and they're toothless. They completely lack quality like and we're not interested in attacking. -
Most meaningful contribution in a Newcastle shirt, there tonight. Crap signing so far.

The Hoss. La Liga Team of the Year wasnt he?

At a guess, I'd say that ITK/Journalist tidbits of 'soon' and 'there'll be movement within a few weeks/months' comes from sources within the buyer side, who have remained 'confident'. Why would they be anything other than confident? They're hardly going to be leaking that there is a few holes in our case, we're on shaky ground but we're still hopeful. I think more than a few people are setting themselves up to get their fingers burned, exactly the way Caulkin did. Anyway, I'll say no more on the subject.

So Masters confirms arbitration has begun. What happened to NUFCs legal position being so strong, so certain that it would never even get to court? I thought the PL were so backed into a corner, there's no chance they'd want to go through arbitration? The PL seem pretty confident of their legal position like, regardless of the 'supreme confidence' of the buyers. The fact its gone to arbitration doesnt fill me with any sort of confidence like, nor does it suggest that the piracy dealings had anything to do with the decision either.
-
He's so, so poor like. Decision making amongst the worst ive seen amongst any forward player for us. He's slow to react, doesn't particularly put himself about, doesnt appear to have much technique and has no particular standout qualities that set him apart from the poorest of PL footballers. He occasionally shows the odd neat touch and bit of vision that you'd expect as a basic from an elite level footballer but thats about it. He's been played as a striker, out wide and in the hole and he's never looked natural in any of those positions. Its not a case of bedding in, its not a case of him being young and needing time either. He's had 60 or so games for us and he's only occasionally looked average, maybe once of twice has he looked decent.

Sheffield United vs Newcastle United - 12/1/21 - 6pm (Live on Sky)
Doctor Zaius replied to Stifler's topic in Football
They're absolutely shite like. Just scraping past Bristol Rovers today wont have done their confidence any good either. -
Was good today like, obviously apart from those two sitters. Still think he can play a role for Steve Bruces Newcastle. The bars and pubs of Newcastle being shut has probably done him a world of good.

Arsenal 2-0 Newcastle United - 09/01/2021 - post match p17 onwards
Doctor Zaius replied to Disco's topic in Football
Such a miserable football team. Arsenal are shite and Carroll should have buried them but fuck me, we're dull.
