Slightly optimistic there.

They clearly realise Turnbull is one of the worst keepers of all time.

Being photographed with hordes of fans in the Metro Centre tonight apparently. Mental how things change.

Tiote wasn't first choice at Twente either. I know nothing about Pieters, just saying.

MOTD3 says Liverpool desperately need a goalscorer, starts to say Ibrahi- then stops, and says Ba or Cisse. Odious runt. Not that it doesn't get worse.

Stuff on Twitter about Pardew at talk-ins claiming 2 have already signed. Is this true?

Simply magnificent today. I was all for him leaving this club at the start of the season, even at Christmas. But his performances in recent weeks have been dripping with confidence, and he knows what his role is. Best tackler of the last few matches. He goes in hard, and he gets it right.

Ranger is really good at taking the ball on his chest, and passing it on well to build an attack. Shame it's about all he's got.

We were very cautious bedding Enrique into the team too. I think Santon will be a great player, but at the moment he has a tendency to wander very high up the pitch and we get caught out. I've no problem seeing Perch or Raylor back there if we're trying to keep tight defensively, as they tend to hold their position and in the case of Perch he's suddenly become a pretty good tackler in recent weeks. He'll throw himself about. Definitely still want Santon starting every home match, though. Really like the guy.

Pre-season specialist Haris Vučkić joins FC Twente
ChrisMcQuillan replied to Skirge's topic in Football
I think the club realise we've lost Lovenkrands and Best, and wanted Ranger gone on loan again. That would leave Ba, Ameobi, Cisse. An injury to one, and we're dangerously low on options. Vuckic is a good option to have. -
Another great performance.

Joins Sheffield Wednesday on loan for rest of the season.

Aye, Elliot was getting warmed up. AHa. Is that who that was? Saw him head back to the dug out with short fairish hair and thought he's too tall to be ferguson but didn't have a clue who he was. Yep, that's Elliott. Unremarkable.

I don't dread Pardew's games as much as Allardyce's that's for sure. Allardyce could never have produced the 3-0 over Man Utd, or the 4-4. Not a chance. Pardew might frustrate, as he did today, but he got us three points. And from the sounds of his interviews, he knows he has to grind out wins with our injuries. We certainly were better in the first half of the season, and hopefully next season with some reinforcements we'll see ourselves back to that level.

It was a 4-3-3 initially. Then it just became a 4 at the back and blob in front formation. I still don't think it was a 4-3-3, like I said a lopsided 4-4-2 at best. Ba and Cisse were both central so who was supposed to be the wide man of the front three on the left? Cabaye wasn't tucking in enough for it to be a 4-3-3 either. Initially, Ba started wide left, but kept getting pulled in. Cabaye then had to move out to cover Gutierrez, but was meant to stay more central. Then Ba and Cisse swapped, and Cisse hugged the line better, but left Ba isolated. Like I say, I'm 99% sure it was a 4-3-3, just a really bad one that ended up being pretty unrecognisable.

Can't believe I'm saying this, but he was my MotM.

I hate to say it but it seems there's little or no chance of him surviving at this stage, even if they were able to resuscitate his body after that amount of time trying he'd surely be in a deep coma. After about 45 minutes, there's pretty much no chance sadly.
