  1. I'd be pretty content with this signing tbf.
  2. People highlight free transfers not because it reduces the quality of the player, but because it hammers home the fact there's no reason we shouldn't be putting the money we've saved towards buying players in the other areas we need strengthening. This.
  3. He shagged your mum Chris. s*** just got real.

    Alan Pardew

    Pardew admits new signings necessary.

    Joey Barton

    Pardew is eminently likeable.

  7. Hughton's sacking, his rather less than thrilling successor, the sale of our best striker without replacement and simply not believing them saying it would be reinvested. All of those things have played a part in pissing off a number of our senior players. And that's before the club captain and inspirational leader was sold, and just recently our player of the year being released. Beyond me how some just can't seem to grasp why a number of our players are or have been unhappy with the way the club is being run. And not only that, they totally ignore said reasons and just concentrate on slagging off anyone who decides their career would be better served elsewhere. Excellent post.
  8. Yup. It began the chain of false promises. - Improvement on Hughton - we got Pardew - Wouldn't sell our best players - sold Carroll - We'd spend the Carroll money - we have barely spent a penny on transfer fees. You can only take it for so long. Just watched the above goal again, he looks so f***ing happy Yep. 100% agreed.
  9. That's true, Jonny. Jose stayed in the Championship, and he gave 110% every week. When did it change? Hughton's sacking, imo.
  10. Think of that 3-1 last season man, its scary to think how far both clubs have come since then. Yep.
  11. Liverpool are on the way up, whilst we're looking on the way down. The way the club have treated its players recently, I don't begrudge Enrique one iota if he decides to go.
  12. We won't go down, barring any huge injuries. But we'll not finish above 14th.

What you have to realise is people cannot look past their hatred for Ashley and Llambias in any single circumstance. No matter what any individual does they will claim it is right as long as it is in opposition to Ashley. Joey Barton and Willie McKay are clearly using this to their advantage in this situation. I don't know when it became acceptable to rubbish your club and behave so badly because you don't think the owner is spending enough money, or giving contracts to your mates. The owners have stated that this is how the club is going to be run. Support the team, and look forward to better days, whether that be a change in ownersip as some want, or a change in policy. Interesting to note the window has a month to run still, but people have convinced themselves that no more players are coming in, and are being fueled by this rage. What have Everton done this window? What of Villa? Did they not just get £36 million from the Downing and Young sales? Other than Zoggy, what? Senseless behaviour. This. Sacking popular managers, renaming an historic stadium and slapping cheap advertisements over the history of the club has nothing to do with it at all.

I'm sorry, but that's absolutely pathetic. Damaging for the morale of the entire team, watching their sometimes Captain made to train alone. Disgusting. do you believe barton is whiter than white in this? Well considering a lot of the other twitter users in the team publicly backed him in this, suggests they don't find him the main antagonist That reply is far to sensible. People need to find ways to justify the idea that Bartons turned into an animal again, so that they can delude themselves about our club actually being run really well as it'll make them feel a bit better. He spoke out on twitter, following Enrique? Forget Enrique, Bartons going to ruin morale !! He was supposedly annoyed during a match we poor in v Leeds? There are definately no alternative responses if true, other than making him train alone. Pardew could not talk to him about it, he could not be fined, the situation could not be calmed in anyway using communication. No, we need punishment & to expand the situation further. Its complete stupidity. In some fans cases here i personally believe they don't want to hear anything bad about the club, they want to keep this idea in their head that everything is fine and the players are happy and proud to be here! So in the case when a player speaks out it is then the very defensive attitude of 'oh X is doing this just for his own greed/ego. He should leave and not p*ss out the rest'. I can personally understand it, the fact that this isn't an isolated incident makes it difficult to buy that JB is unsupported by the rest of the team This.

Agreed. It's a pretty rubbish situation for everyone, but I think Joey training with everyone else, would make things much worse. When he clearly has a good deal of sympathy in the squad from the people who have spoken out? Routledge? (I know he's off too) Enrique? Do we just sell everyone who doesn't like the management? Replace them with keen new people for 18 months until they fall out with the management too? The management are at fault here.

Disgusting. do you believe barton is whiter than white in this? No, I don't. I'm not saying the club shouldn't fine Barton like they did Enrique, or that Barton is anywhere near as holy and white as he thinks he is. However, what GOOD does making him train alone do? It just sounds like that petulant sports coach from school. The regime have decided they want rid of Barton, and they're going to do everything they can to bully him out. I think that's wrong and pathetic, personally.

Can I have a shot of whatever you've been injecting? He had to go..Although the club probably has not been competent, a line as to be drawn. He's a professional, earing more money than most dare dream of. If he disagrees with how the club is run, use the proper channels, instead of posting stupid tweets .. Which proper channels, out of interest?

    I genuinely can't believe this.
  20. I've said it a hundred times, Steven Taylor may offer goals, but put him anywhere in any back line and they look like they've never met each other before. Why? Because he plays as an individual hero not as a quiet member of a team like Colo and Williamson. He's as much a liability as he is a goal threat.
  21. The fact we're being outgunned by Leeds and having to use Sammy Ameobi to look for goals at this stage is an absolute joke.
